We had an amazing stay at Sunset Cave Hotel. The staff treated us like family from the moment we arrived and were always kind, helpful, and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the terrace offered breathtaking views of Göreme and the hot air balloons. Everything exceeded our expectations Nothing significant. Our stay was excellent and we would happily return.

Beautiful views and wonderful location. The team was helpful and attentive. Cute boutique hotel with cozy space. The A/C wasn’t working and my room was surprisingly too warm every night.

we like the location, the rooms are nice and exactly like was in the picture. We also like their generosity, and hospitality of the staff in Sunset /Owl cave. Haroon, Salem, Orun (I hope i got their names right) everyone were helpful during our stay. nothing

The hotel is well located, with convenient shops and restaurants nearby. It’s easy to walk around the neighborhood, and even evening walks feel safe and relaxing. The room layout is excellent, with a small entrance area that makes the space feel organized and private. The living room, bedroom, and bathroom are separate, making the space comfortable and spacious. The bed is very comfortable and we slept very well. The hot water heats up quickly and the temperature stays stable, which we really appreciated during the cold weather. The hotel is located on higher ground, so the view is open and beautiful. During our stay, we enjoyed the snowy scenery during the day, and at night the lighting made the view feel calm and special. The private balcony was a wonderful place to relax, and our children had a great time playing in the snow. The front desk staff are warm and helpful. They are available 24 hours and are always willing to give local recommendations or help adjust daily plans. We especially want to thank Mr. Haroon, Mr. Ugur, Mr. Ercan, and Mr. Saleem for their kindness and hospitality. Breakfast is generous and satisfying. In addition to the prepared cold dishes and bread, they freshly cook items like eggs and fries. Tea is unlimited and very well brewed. The breakfast staff were also very kind. Tours can be arranged through the hotel at reasonable prices, and the owner pays attention to quality. If you rent a car, there is also a large free parking lot across the street, which is very convenient. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. P.S. You can email the hotel in advance to reserve tours. They accept payment in euros (cash). P.S. The owner has changed for 2 months, the same owner as the Owl Hotel next door. 1. The room has some older facilities, but it is still warm and comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the location is great, you can easily reach open air museum and view point by foot

The Deluxe Family Suite was comfortable and beautifully designed, though there is no view from the patio, as it is located on the first floor (above the ground level), but there is a shared terrace upstairs with a panoramic view of the city and fairy chimneys. The location is excellent. Overall, it was a great and unique experience.

Rooms - Amazing experience staying in cave hotel. We upgraded to Deluxe Room - big, nice and comfortable. Location - Easy to reach by car. Walkable to town. Great access to nearby restaurants on the same street. Sunset Viewpoint (small fee to enter) is at the end of the street - very convenient to access when planning to catch sunrise / sunset views. Hospitality - We had an medical incident and Mr Ali (host) was most helpful, directing us to nearby medical facilities and adjusting the hot air balloon ride plans. Highly recommend to book your activities through them. Nothing! Would stay here again.

Loved staying in a cave for a couple nights. The views from the shared balcony were phenomenal and staff were friendly & welcoming. Highly recommend.

The view from the upper floor terrace is absolute gold. Also, very helpful and professional staff.

Yunus was very professional and helpful, he even allowed us to leave our bags for the whole day after checkout.

The location was amazing! Our 4 people room had a balcony which was delightful to hang out in anytime we were home. The living room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff was kind, helpful and on top of things. Their cute puppy was a hit with the kids:) breakfast was amazing!!! I wish I had known that there was live music playing till midnight, it was not unpleasant music thankfully.. but still it was to fall asleep. This is common for places all over Goreme.

The carpets in the room were not as clean as we'd like. Lighting could have been better too.

The hotel is perfectly located, very close to the main viewpoints to watch the hot air balloons at sunrise, as well as restaurants and shops in Göreme. The hotel preserves the authentic and traditional style of the region, with comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms. The breakfast is good and varied. , the atmosphere created by the father and son who run the hotel is truly unbeatable: they were extremely kind. One evening, there was a temporary water outage, but it was resolved early the next morning. Additionally, there was a slight musty smell in the room.

1. Beautiful view from the room terraces. 2. The manager continues to use the microwave in the kitchen (this was not provided for by the hotel service). 3. In general, a dietary breakfast of the "buffet" type (someone will call it monotonous and meager) But for me it was a plus. I did not rate it higher mainly because of the staff's disdainful attitude towards my problem when I fell ill. It was the height of cynicism, indifference, formalism and a rude commercial approach to the client. 1. On the second-to-last day of our stay, I caught a cold. On the last day (the day of departure), I sat in the hotel lobby for two hours with a fever of 38.7°C, waiting for my transfer. No one even offered me a glass of water, let alone tea or—perhaps as a gesture of hospitality—a free room for a couple of hours so I could lie down. (I understand this is not standard practice, and the hotel was not obliged to do so.) The manager knew I was sick, knew I had a high fever, and they had vacant rooms—but he simply didn’t care. It felt like, once our stay was over, they no longer knew us or had anything to do with us. 2. The apartment was quite dirty. I understand it’s a cave-style accommodation, but surely, the walls and ceiling should be vacuumed occasionally to remove cobwebs, and the bathroom surfaces should be treated against mold. 3. The room was cold. The air conditioner didn’t work properly for heating—it kept turning off on its own. The manager tried to "fix" it, but nothing worked. Calling a technician? No, that wasn’t even considered. I had to keep checking and restarting the air conditioner myself. To be fair, the manager did bring an old heater from storage. But it was so dirty and dusty that my wife and I had to clean it for about an hour instead of relaxing. The manager saw the state of the heater but didn’t offer any help in cleaning it. 4. In general, the service is a topic in itself. I’ll give just one example: on the first evening, I left a dirty towel outside the door so the staff could take it. The towel remained there the entire next day. The morning after that, when we left the room, it was still there. Only in the evening, when we returned, was it finally gone. And this was the case with everything. 5. The shower cabin was leaking. 6.Instead of a proper socket, an extension cord was hanging from the wall. One socket had no cover, with exposed wires sticking out. Another socket was loose and falling out.

The location, breakfast & helpful staff Nothing

Very good

This is very bad service. Formal, I would even say careless and unfriendly attitude.

Its a modern cave house experience with the jacuzzi. I like the aircon with hot or cold choices. The location is perfect because it’s on the top edge and there’s no obstruction on the view from their terrace. It has a comfortable bed, good restaurant, daily free toiletries refill, and they’re giving 1.5L water daily. Cleaning the room is upon request. But they have good, clean and comfortable towel. The door key isn’t working properly. It will take us 5-10minutes to figure out how to open and close. Some lights in the room were busted. The jacuzzi is leaking but still you can use it. The stairs to our room aren’t safe for children, we’ve booked the top floor.

The view and the personnel Breakfast was fair.

The breakfast here is great, the staff are lovely, and what I like most is the location. It's excellent – within walking distance to the panoramic viewpoint and close to transport and restaurants.
