Chelsea Inn was a great place to stay. Located in a great area not too far from great attractions such as Times Square, Chelsea Market/ the high line, and gramercy theater which I went to for a concert. The neighborhood was calm enough to where I could sleep in the afternoon with no trouble and comfortably go for a walk past dark. The room itself had the necessary essentials for resting and relaxing. Although small it was comfortable as a solo traveler. The only downside was the lack of elevators, as my room was on the fifth floor.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chelsea Inn. The location can't be beat with access to the busses and the subway and plenty of eating and drinking all around. Our a/c was not working on our 4th floor room the first night, but the staff were accommodating and moved us to another room on the 2nd floor. It was smaller, but only 1 flight of stairs to climb. No elevators. The staff were very nice and appreciate all their help day or night. They even watched our bags after checking out. Thanks for making our 1st time in NYC memorable.

Clean room, friendly and helpful front desk staff.

The room and building was clean and well kept. However, the check-in process is “contactless” which doesn’t deliver a feeling of hospitality. I rated the amenities a single star out of 5 since there is no ice available for guests, and you service your own room with trash removal and linen service. The largest issue was the fact that the room was so small that you could barely walk around the queen sized bed. You will be hard pressed to find a place to put your luggage,

No elevator and small room
-
Another thing to notice is that the noise from other tenants can be heard too loud. I would like the improvement in cleaning up the room, but I would definitely come back.

Overall really nice. They will only hold luggage until 3pm. It’s nice they offer the service, but would be helpful to have a later pick up time.

Never agreed to a shared bathroom on 5th floor with no elevator.

The room was very clean, and the location was perfect! Tons of coffee shops and food nearby, which made our stay that much easier. :)

For the price and location, this place was a wonderful property to stay at. We were fortunate to get a room on the first floor to access to and from the room was super easy and smooth. 10/10 stay!

Beds are not the most comfortable, BUT the staff was wonderful and the rooms were clean. It was the perfect place for a few nights in NYC.
-
The pullout was just a bumpy sofa cushion with buttons/no mattress. AC was minimally effective.

Positives: The staff was excellent. Particularly, Wilma was outstanding. She was pleasant, accommodating, responsive, and helpful.

Great place to stay for solo travelers.

The room was small but clean. Little shelf space. Had to ask for a microwave to be brought to our room. Hit my head numerous times on the awkwardly placed TV. BUT! This place was so convenient. Right by the subway and so many amazing restaurants and shops. Yeah the tv was in a weird spot but at least there was one! Staff was super helpful on tips and getting us checked in. The AC was beautiful in the summer. Would definitely stay again!

The location is great. Close to a subway stop and many restaurants and bars. Very clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room we had was small but layed out great. Small fridge, coffee maker, and shampoo soap in the room. AC was great and had a ceiling fan. Bed was ok size but not very comfortable. That is the only down thing I have to say.

Very helpful staff. I had an issue with my booking and they were very understanding and accommodating in helping resolve it.

This is a budget hotel. Having said this, the Chelsea Inn has everything but food service. The property is very clean and well maintained. The staff is stand out amazing. My room on the fifth floor didn’t have a window, two skylights instead. Sharing a bathroom, while weird at first, was no big deal. No elevator but there was always someone around to carry my bags down. I usually stay at the Park Central but if just passing through NYC again I’ll book this hotel. Again, the staff is amazing. ♥️♥️

The bedroom had a very small window that was blocked by a piece of furniture, preventing natural light and fresh air from entering. The room felt dark, enclosed, and uncomfortable. Additionally, some members of the staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming

The staff were all really helpful. Clean and quiet room, I was on the ground floor with 2 children,it was so quiet. There was even a free coffee pod machine at reception. Clean room and you just change your own towels daily if you want. I stayed 3 nights and we had a more expensive hotel on the LES for 3 nights. We all agreed we would rather have stayed on at the Chelsea Inn instead. ☆☆☆☆☆
