Holiday Inn Express New York City Times Square by IHG

Staff was very helpful. I would specially mention receptionist Touria who also let us checkin few hours early. Very good location and love the way they welcome every guest with complimentary welcome kit with free water bottles & snacks. Highly suggest everyone!!

I had an 3 night stay non-smoker king-size bed, my room smelled like smoke. First night was hectic and wasn't able to inform the staff about the smokey room till the next day. The smoke was predominant when i turned on the AC. The daytime manager took the information in the morning and didn't provide updates. When I returned at night, the night manager wasn't aware of the issue but was generous to look into with the engineering team the following morning at 10am. The following day, I was 2 hours late when I reached the front desk - where the daytime manager along with the maintenance department head accused me of smoking and were extremely rude. When I explained the situation, they shifted the blame on me when I had only informed them 24 hours earlier and their internal team wasn't informed. Definitely, do not recommend this hotel. Especially, due to the rude manager the only helpful person was Michelle, the night manager, who seemed to care about the problem.

Great location close to everything in midtown and the subway. A basic hotel, small rooms, comfortable beds, efficient house keeping. A little dated but clean. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

One elevator was not working on Thursday night and into Friday morning. I waited over 20 minutes on Friday morning because it was during checkout and breakfast times. Totally unacceptable for a hotel with over 35 floors to only have 2 elevators and especially when one doesn’t work.

We like the location but the room is quite small, dated minimal amenities for the price that I paid for. Staff are nice and courteous. Breakfast buffet is less than average compared to other similar rated hotels

Everything was great

It was ok. Could have been a little cleaner, and there are only 2 small elevators for 36 floors which means a long wait. The location makes up for all of that though. Very walkable, close to the bus station and theaters.

The rooms needed some cleaning. There was odor in the room and stains in bathroom. The ac was not working and on notifying the front desk said someone will help but no one did. The folks at front desk didn’t know hours of checkin and breakfast hours and gave conflicting info. Overall am not coming back here again.
