Hyatt Place New York City/Times Square

Breakfast is good. Hotel location is walking distance from Times Square and Hudson Yards

After three nights of poor sleep, we returned to the front desk. The employee offered to move us, but only after we left our luggage downstairs while waiting for another room to be cleaned. During that time, the fire alarm sounded. It was only a drill, but the announcement wasn’t clear or loud enough, causing unnecessary confusion. Fortunately, we met the maintenance manager during the evacuation. Unlike the front desk staff, he was genuinely apologetic and quickly found us a new room. We immediately noticed the water pressure in the shower and sink was much better than in our original room on the 6th floor, even though the new room on the 17th floor was in the same location within the building. The new room also had a stained couch, but that was minor compared to everything else. The maintenance manager was the only bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience. The lack of concern and poor customer service from the front desk made this a stay we won’t forget—for all the wrong reasons!!

Overall really bad experience and never booking again with expedia and surely not going to Hyatt ever again

Decent hotel, room was clean and complimentary water bottles each day was nice. AC and bathroom sink had issues though, ac didn't cool well and bathroom sink had very low water flow

Size of room was small and uncomfortable. Bed was comfortable. Sofa portion of bed was nice.

Everything was nice need some turkey sausages on that breakfast menu

Room was clean. It’s a small room, but that’s to be expected in NYC. Location was great! The only thing was the air conditioning was a little loud. We were on a higher floor so no issues with other noise. Having morning breakfast included was very convenient and a nice bonus to the stay.

While I expect small rooms in NYC, this room was small and didn’t utilize the space well. There are no drawers and limited shelves. The closet is so tiny we had to remove the ironing board to fit even a few clothes in there. There was no luggage rack either. No good options for one person, let alone two people to unpack suitcases and feel settled. Also, not enough space to leave suitcases out, The elevator situation is awful. The system should be updated to better manage usage. Many times, we’d have 10+ people crammed in the elevator and it would still stop at multiple floors on the way down even though there was no room for more.

Very central for everything which was fantastic surprise Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast had fine selection, enough to start your day Will definitely return 😍

Very nice hotel in a very convenient location. My room was very quite and nicely organized. The room was small, but fully in line with New York standard. Very helpful staff. Breakfast was good and space appropriate despite the many people.
