Was one of the best experiences I had in NYC

Location is good

The location is perfect—right in the heart of Times Square and within walking distance of Broadway, shopping, restaurants, and major attractions. We booked a Times Square View room, and the views were absolutely spectacular, especially at night. The rooms were surprisingly spacious by NYC standards, spotlessly clean, and very quiet. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept in at a hotel. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning and restocking our room daily with fresh towels and toiletries. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The concierge went above and beyond, even helping us get taxis quickly. Check-in and check-out were smooth, security was excellent, and the elevators were fast despite the hotel's size. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options, and I'd rate the food a 9/10. From the outstanding service and comfortable rooms to the unbeatable location, Marriott Marquis exceeded every expectation. We highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again. Worth every penny!

A few highlights: The Service: Kevin was phenomenal! He got us checked in early at 11:00 AM and found us a gorgeous room with an amazing view. The Room: Beautiful, spacious, spotless, and a very comfortable bed. The Vibe & Food: The hotel atmosphere was wonderful and the restaurant food was great. The Location: Perfect. It seriously couldn’t be any better.

For example, the room did not have standard USB-C charging ports, which have become a common convenience in many hotels. It would also have been nice to have complimentary bottled water available. Overall, I felt that much of the price reflects the prime location rather than the quality of the in-room experience. With a few modern upgrades and small complimentary touches, the stay would provide much better value and a more memorable guest experience.

I stay there every time I come to New York

This is a solid hotel with some quirks you should be aware of. The layout is inefficient, with restaraunts/bar, check in, and the general store on the 8th floor with a klunky elevator system. It takes a while to navigate how busy the common areas are, and simply getting to your room can take a while. It has several convention spaces, so the foot traffic is intense. That said, the room was excellent with fun views of Times Square. The service everywhere is very attentive and helpful. The fitness center is quite good, with plenty of equipment. Location relative to Times Square, subways, and access to taxis is ideal....if you like Times Square and all its trappings. If you want a more low-key hotel, look further uptown. If you want energy and action, this is a good choice.

The staff were very helpful, the property well maintained and the rooms recently remodeled, it was clean and looking like new, the elevators were fast and also very secure, they make sure only residents access the rooms. Parking was accessible and the staff ware very attentive.
