Exactly as advertised - the rooftop bar was a plus

Love this unique experience!! Girls trip to NYC!! Location was awesome, hotel was super clean, and the staff was nice!! Can’t recommend this hotel enough!! Tiny but mighty!

Small rooms but clean and well located. Affordable too vs many other options in Manhattan. Good roof bar at the hotel too.

The staff were helpful, the room was tiny, but as expected. It had what we needed, and saved us a bit of money to stay in the city.

Patrick, (bartender) and the entire lobby staff were so accommodating. I have stayed there before and will continue to!

Perfect for solo travel. Great price and NY location - close to Grand Central for subway. Quiet rooms. Cleaning staff is efficient. Front desk very helpful.

Restaurant in the hotel was also good. Friendly staff gave me recommendations for dinner. Rooftop bar was awesome to do some remote work at while enjoying the view. Walkable to a lot of popular spots. Easy access to train and bus for any longer travels.

Ok, this hotel hits two major things that are hard to find together in a NY hotel, 1) it's clean, 2) it's cheap. Usually you can have one, but in my half a century on this planet and being from NY, this is the first time I've seen a hotel in Manhattan do both these things.

I have stayed at Pod39 twice and have been very satisfied based on the reasonable price. It is like a chic dorm room, very streamlined to basic essentials in terms of furnishings, design of the bathroom and the room is quite small. What is great is maid service everyday making the bed, new towels, etc. Pod39 is also a great location right next to Grand Central Station to take the subway system within walking distance to major cultural places like the Museum of Modern Art. They also serve a complimentary breakfast. My only recommendations are to provide a few more toiletry items and perhaps a few free breakfast items.

Way too small - no wall space at all. No shelf space in bathroom. Weird, slow flush in bathroom toilet. Towels didn’t look super clean. The worst part in addition to all of that is - Super loud drilling and construction work happening right outside window - with was placed by the facility and was in the hotel itself- which was very disruptive to sleep. We were not informed of this upon check in. Hotel ended up taking 25% off, but because of how bad it was it should have been more. Will never stay there again and would not recommend.

The hotel was in a very convenient location, just a short walk from Grand Central Terminal and Park Avenue. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. I’m so glad I chose to stay there. A big plus was the beautiful rooftop access and the complimentary coffee each morning. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would happily stay there again.

Always helpful and pleasant

The pod was very small and the desk and chair were uncomfortable, and the only USB port didn’t work. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot with good pressure and the whole room was very clean. The front desk staff was very nice as was the lady that did the housekeeping for the room. The bar was a bit expensive (it’s NYC) but the bar staff were friendly and gave good and prompt service.

Great location, easy to get around. Comfort bed, staff cleaned the room and make the bed every day Free tea and coffee, we also joined the free walking tours provided by the hotel Can be a bit loud sometimes
