Overlooking Fistral Beach with stunning Atlantic views, the Esplanade Hotel has an indoor child-friendly swimming pool, a spa bath, and a sauna. Fistral Beach Surf School is located on site. Newquay town center is less than 10 minutes’ walk away and Newquay Golf Club is 1640 feet from the Esplanade Hotel. Newquay Rail Station is a 20-minute journey on foot.

Location and staff -One slow elevator is not enough for such hotel, at least should have 3 elevators - no AC in rooms, lobbies, and in restaurants - breakfast very poor - no espresso machines in rooms and in restaurant

There were some unexpected challenges with accommodating us at the restaurant for breakfast (which we had pre-booked). However, the staff tried their best to find a solution and ensured they took our requests into consideration.

Pool and hot tub was slightly slippery underfoot and around the edges, hair etc (as in not the cleanest)

Dirty windows couldn't see much through it. Bed was on one side going down so all night I was falling from it

Perfect location in front of Fistral beach, surf shop next door connected to hotel, very friendly staff, good hotel restaurant, great breakfast Nothing!

Lovely location, excellent staff. Very good food Dissappointed that the pool was closed on our stay. Fortunately when I arrived it was open & I managed to use it but was so disappointed to see the next day was closed due to maintenance. When I originally telephoned to enquire if the pool would be open during our stay I was assured it was. Also the music was very loud. We could hear it in our bedroom the 1st day. On complaining the second day was very good, no music heard but the day after the music was heard in our room at 7 30 in the morning. Spoilt it a bit

Parking can be hit and miss and there are limited reserved spaces on site to purchase. Some areas of the hotel are looking a little tired, that may be due to a busy summer season.

The views are amazing from the rooms and the restaurant/reception area. It's across the road from the best beach in Cornwall. The food is fantastic as always. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The whole place is spotlessly clean and smells lovely! It's our 4th holiday to Newquay from Kent and we stay here every time with our son since he was 3, he's now nearly 6 and still loves the hotel so much. Claudia is his most favorite person and one of the reasons he begs us to stay at the same hotel every time. It's our number one choice for summer or even Christmas as it's beautiful! Will always be coming back every year! Thank you esplanade staff! Nothing to not like

But indoor pool was an added bonus with jacuzzi and sauna after a day on the beach. Would 100% return Only downside was that the rooms were very warm.

The hotel is at a great location and the breakfast was good. It is already an older building but they have done some renovations. A small pool and sauna available which was nice. The standard room we booked did not come with AC the room was hot. This became a problem as you had to keep the window open but seagulls were super loud in the night so you had to close it and then it was too hot. The room is really small so a bigger room is recommended.
