The inside of the building was very clean and oderly- partly this is because it is new and partly because it is cleaned well. The family room was a very comfortable suite, a table and four chairs, plus two very simple armchairs. No TV- that suited us, we weren't there to watch tv. The bunk beds were not made up- that would have been nice. Also the staff member who admitted us was taciturn, not responding to normal polite greetings, not smiling, and just generally unfriendly. I also had recieved a very hostile email about arrival- I understand there must be problems with people not observing checkin times. Nevertheless, it was unpleasant and made me nervous.

Perfect location to walk along the river to NF (and the bridge to Canada) with perfect spot to see the daily fireworks. Super cool building, great facilities to self cater, great space in the bedrooms and in the common area. The owner real fun to talk with, lots of great stories. Nothing

Hotel was much better than expected! Although the building is old, the room had been renovated, very spacious and comfortable. Very good comunnication with the owner. Access to a shared kitchen with all needed facilities. Free parking Hotel and rooms are better than presented on photos - photos should be updated!

The separate toilet and shower are very convenient. The kitchen is also very convenient. The only drawback is that the bed needs to be covered by a curtain. Another major flaw is that there are no electrical outlets around the headboard, so I can't charge my phone.

Very bad experience with the staff, since this place is isolated, it is very risky to stay alone here. Manager of the property

For a 2 star hostel this place definitely exceeded our expectations. The owner was very friendly, funny and helpful. We arrived later than check in time due to train arrival, informed the owner in advance and he was very understanding and accommodating. Our room ( family of 3) was very spacious, spotless clean and comfortable, had air con and we were able to see the fireworks from our window . Great location, 15-20 min easy walk to the falls or rainbow bridge ( the falls park is literally across the road), 25 min walk to Amtrak train station and still at an affordable price. There's a small convenience store for essentials about 5 min walk too. Fully equipped kitchen with dining room was available at all times which was a great bonus for our stay. We would definitely stay here again if visiting. There was nothing to dislike.

The location The receptionist or the person who was handling the property, very uncooperative. Not helpful or accommodating at all. Probably heard him use foul language when I left the room he was in.
