Slo Hostel Nice

This was my first time ever staying in a hostel and Slo was such a great pick to start with. I felt safe the whole time, even in the 8 bed unisex room I stayed in, and I loved the little touches like the free water, free ear plugs (a lifesaver when someone is snoring haha), and having AC throughout the whole building which was so nice during a hot French summer. There are plenty of showers and bathrooms so you never really wait, the doors are heavy enough that you don't hear much outside noise, and my bed was comfortable and clean. I also have to mention Samuel, one of the receptionists, who was such an amazing, sweet and helpful person. He really made me feel comfortable asking questions and having a nice chat, which made a big difference for a first time hostel stay. The shared space was fun too, they had a projector going for the FIFA World Cup and the music they play is trendy and puts you in a good mood. The only real thing, and it's honestly minor, is that the showers would get a little dirty and pretty slippery in the afternoon and late evening once a lot of people had used them. I also wish the storage locker by my bed was a bit bigger since mine was pretty narrow, though I'm not sure if larger lockers or beds are a paid option since it was my first time and I didn't really know what to ask for.

Extremely comfy bed! Personal outlets and lights in each dorm bed. I arrived around 10p and was happy I could buy an ice cold bottled beer after I’d had a long day flying in from Italy. Very friendly people at the front desk. Consider bringing an eye mask to sleep with at night as my dorm room didn’t have any room darkening ability and the window was huge, floor to ceiling. Luckily I brought an eye mask and was able to sleep well.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The facilities were clean, the rooms were quiet, the wifi was strong, and the staff was extremely friendly. This hostel is located right in the heart of Nice in Jean Medecin (it's also about a 5-6 minute walk from the train station). This is a great option if you're a solo traveler looking to meet new people. This is incredibly niche, but I like to put on makeup and I found that it was pretty difficult finding a location to do that. The bathrooms are private and there are only about 2 toilets per floor, so you're expected to be very quick - since other people constantly need to go. And you can't really put makeup on in the rooms because of the way that they're oriented. I loved my stay and I think that this is the best hostel in Nice (truly -- I went to another hostel afterwards and I could feel the difference in the quality), but it would be nice for women to have a small little standing area for makeup that multiple people can pop in and out of!

The sheets were not totally clean.

Perfect location, near the train station, not far from the old town and the beach. It was safe, clean and only four people shared a room, which was great. If only there were more toilets and bathrooms would be nice.

Staff facilities and room are all good It is not what I didn’t like, just the first bed I was assigned to the light was not working and the second one the locker is not working.

I do not usually give a 10, I guess in my +30 previous bookings I did it once and this is the second time. The location is wonderful, the staff is very nice, the bed is very comfortable, an excellent level of privacy is there, the bathroom is clean most of the time, the price is ok for Nice. Only one disadvantage, to refill your bottle you need to go to the reciption, this place is close to perfection and as an advice, it would be awesome if you add drinking water tubes in each level of the hostel.

Amazing hostel, cleaniless, overall vibe some guest are a bit noisy

Very easy to find, and check in and out. Hostel was well located and easily walkable distance to the Old Town of Nice. Despite being in a 10 bed room, it felt private!

Close to Nice Ville train station so you can easily go to different cities along the coast. This is my second time staying there and honestly it’s a great hostel. One of the washrooms had the sink plugged and kept overflowing.

And I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Magommed, who took really good care of me when I was suffering from diarrhea in the mid night and helped to contact a doctor before I thought of asking. Thank you Magommed and I hope this message can reach you:)

Everything was spotless, staff were very helpful, location is ideal and central, beds are comfortable and the room is spacious enough. Facilities such as lockers, fridge, lobby, showers are spotless. Everything was perfect
