Ocean View Inn

While the cost of the room was great once we got into our room you could see that the place was really run down. Smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, paint missing from the walls, cleanliness was questionable, and didn’t feel safe. There are no amenities near by. Gentleman at the front counter was very nice and helpful but due to the condition of our room we ended up forfeiting the cost and going somewhere else.

The beds are extremely comfortable. The room was clean. The shower was okay. Not much water pressure. The front door to the lobby being locked was a little alarming. You have to be buzzed in. Cleaning staff extremely friendly. The partial beach view from hotel is nice, but it didn’t really matter because curtains are closed for privacy from others walking and running by. It was nice having a kitchen. The full size refrigerator was a plus. They don’t provide anything for the kitchen. If you plan on really using the kitchen you need to bring everything with you. They don’t supply anything. The beach is nice, water is great for kids to play in. Flies were bad. Take some bug spray just in case. Over all pleasant stay.

Run down and falling apart

Perfect location if you can handle the terrible room penetrated with smoke of weed.

Shower and floor dirty. Room smelled like smoke, curtains did not keep light out. No seal on door so it was very loud, could hear every car on highway. Not enough blankets on bed.

Room was clean, few steps to the beach, walls are thin so u have loud neighbors you will hear them. Surprised to see a full fridge and place to cook

Roaches, bathroom nasty, crumbs left in kitchenette, stink, dead roaches on floor

The bed was super comfy. Air conditioned worked great ! Anything we needed..staff was great, helpful & so nice

When we 1st arrived at 3:20, check in at 3, there was a sign on the door that read be back in 15, no problem, stood around waiting, after 30 minutes I went walking around the building, found a maid and an older gentleman folding towels, spoke very little English, extremely friendly, told them I was trying to check in, they said he went to store but they'd call manager, I went back up front, waited another 20 minutes before he showed up to check me in. Why is anyone leaving to go to store at 3pm when check in is at 3pm? Well i thought this was going to be the beginning of disappointments but the rest of the stay was very pleasant. Only other issue i had was there was a top to a needle laying on our counter, out in the wide open, just made you wonder how detailed they were to cleaning the rest of the room. Saw a few bugs here and there but nothing concerning. The rest of the place was clean.The rooms aren't Ocean facing but still a beautiful view of the beach from anywhere on the property. 100 yard walk to the beach, not crowded at all, very enjoyable, looks like possibly a bad area when you 1st pull in but everyone there was so nice. Maid came by daily and left clean towels and collected dirty ones and changed the trash. Plenty of parking, you could smell weed and cigarettes but they cant control what other people staying there do. While checking out the gentleman at the desk asked how our stay was, it isn't the Hilton but nice place for the rate, would definitely go back.

Pleasant

The location was nice but the weather prevented us from truly enjoying the location. We didn’t have breakfast or check out out. Our first room was filthy, the register for heating/air was disgusting as well as missing many slats. Supposedly all the rooms had been remodeled. We asked for a different room and it WAs way better and served the purpose. Would not stay here again

N/A I would like to formally express my concern regarding the conditions of my hotel room during my stay. Upon entering and throughout my occupancy, I observed multiple cockroaches in the room, creating an unsanitary and uncomfortable environment. The presence of roaches raised serious concerns about cleanliness, health, and overall guest safety. As a paying guest, I expected accommodations that met reasonable standards of hygiene and maintenance. Unfortunately, staying in a room with an active roach infestation significantly impacted the quality of my stay and caused considerable discomfort. I respectfully request that appropriate pest control measures be taken to eliminate the infestation and prevent future guests from experiencing similar conditions. I would also appreciate your review of this matter and any consideration you can provide regarding the inconvenience caused during my stay.

The location is very good and it is inexpensive. It's an older place that could do with a refresh, but was clean and given the price, was quite acceptable...If this makes sense - it's a 2 star hotel with a 4 star rating within it's 2 star category!

Very close to the beach. Great rooms for the price. Short drive to the Virginia beaches.

The location Needs a shower outside to clean the sand from the beach
