Hotel Circulo

It was a hidden gem for sure. Only thing worth noting is that it’s contact-less. But I kind of loved that part too.

As for the property and the room, we’ve got so many great things to say. We loved the location. It was a really quick and easy ride into downtown Charleston. The property was clean and well-maintained. The room (including the bathroom) was beautifully decorated, so chic, and so spacious! And the swivel tv was super convenient for being able to watch tv from the bed or as you sit in the living room area. And here’s where Circulo really felt set apart from other places we’ve stayed: the team put so much thought into the little touches that truly elevated the experience for us. There was a handwritten welcome note that even wished us a happy anniversary. There were little coffee cards we were able to use to get free coffee from Prophet Coffee directly next door (amazing coffee!). There was a sound machine but also a set of ear plugs in a cute little burlap sack on each night stand. You can really tell the team at Circulo thought through how to curate a top-notch experience for their guests. Thank you, Hotel Circulo team, for a wonderful stay! If we find ourselves in Charleston again, we would absolutely return to Circulo. And we highly recommend your hotel!

While the room was spacious and clean the unstaffed hotel can feel inhospitable and unwelcoming. The notice that you’ll be removed from your room if you have someone over to do little more than wait for an Uber resulted in an uncomfortable and awkward situation. The lock code was obvious when assigned and troublesome not working within several tries, the code to the ice and water also stopped working on our second day, resulting in no water or ice on our second night.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the Park Circle area of North Charleston!

We loved staying here. The room was extremely clean and the area was perfect. We walked to nearby restaurants and enjoyed the park right beside the hotel. We’ll definitely be back here when we return to park circle.

Great location - appeared brand new! Spacious room with added plush amenities! I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again!

Amazing place to stay. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was fantastic every day. Very relaxing. Having beach amenities available was very nice.

Once inside, this is a really nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Sparsely decorated and very modern, but also comfortable. It's pretty new, so everything was in good condition. Our stay was just one night, and we didn't use the rooftop area. The hotel has a coffee shop next door and a diner across the street. Perfect for concerts at Firefly Distillery, but otherwise a little out of the way. Ideal for North Charleston business trips, but perhaps a little far away from downtown historic Charleston. We'd definitely stay again is visiting the area.

This has been the worst place I’ve stayed in years. The air conditioning is fixed, and no matter how much we tried to make it colder it would revert to the setting they had it on. Second, the area where the hotel is located has a lot of homeless and sketchy people. Third, at 3 AM a train passes that shakes where you’re staying. In short, I had a horrible night, couldn’t sleep because of the heat, and there’s no front desk to file a complaint with. And finally, checking in is another problem. If you want to stay there, go ahead, but my advice is to pay a little more and stay somewhere safer. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful and brand new hotel. The room was more like a flat, with spacious bathroom and seating area. Modern and chic, delicious soft fragrance in the room. Parking was not super convenient (narrow alley across the street or empty lot a few yards away if your room didn't have an assigned parking on the ground level of the property) but we managed and truly enjoyed our stay. Communication with staff was remarkable. We will consider staying here again for future visits.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay. The hosts were attentive and helpful. The location is great and easy to find. Would stay again.

The room was outstanding with shades dark enough to keep all light out. The staff reached out to make sure everything was going well. Very quiet at night for sleeping. No complaints.

Lovely, clean, and close to everything! This hotel really hits all the spots for the low maintenance traveler.

Always enjoy the beautiful rooms at Circulo. Also - easy access to great coffee and breakfast nearby !!

1. Price point was too high for what you get (not located in an ideal location, no on-site staff, parking was in a very tight alley (which required an additional expense), no coffee pot in the room (although coffee vouchers were provided for the shop next door, the shop did not open until 0800) 2. Check-in was easy, the room was clean, but minimal 3. The roof top area provided a nice area to relax with a drink before bed. A couple of ceiling fans would be a welcome addition 4. My sister and brother-in-law had to place a call because their door access code failed. The response was relatively quick and resolved by changing the batteries. But, for the duration of our stay they could not use the elevator with their access code to get to the roof top. We had to pick them up using our access or they had to use the stairs.

I was in North Charleston to attend a concert at the Firefly Distillery. The hotel Circulo was within walking distance and I thought was a perfect choice. It was more than perfect. From the very secure access to the building, to the eclectic decor in my room to the beautiful roof deck, it could not have been a better place to stay. Close to fun restaurants, breweries and Firefly. A short drive to Charleston. I loved my stay and would absolutely stay again.

Our stay at Hotel Circulo was good! The rooms were clean and spacious. It was close to the wedding venue and very quiet. The owners were responsive to our texts. I’ve never stayed at a hotel with no onsite staff, reception, restaurant. Nothing wrong with that, I just didn’t know that was their setup.

The room was spacious, clean, and well stocked. The bed was comfortable and you can stream movies. I loved that the tv could rotate to fave the bed or couch. Both of which were very comfortable. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops within a 5-10 minute walk. Downtown Charleston is a 20 minute drive. Other sights (a few big plantations, Mt. Pleasant, USS Yorktown, beaches) are a car ride away. Ubers were about $20 to some locations. I didn't know what to expect with this hotel and was very pleased with it and the location!

The hotel was beautiful! The staff kept it well maintained and were really helpful! The only thing that decreased my rating was that the walls were very thin. The neighbors were playing music and having intimate time together in the late hours of the night. It was very difficult to sleep. The staff was super responsive during this event but i wish there was someone on site to help with things like this.
