MainStay Suites Oak Brook Terrace-Chicago

I was only gone for a few hours, but while I was at the ER, my room was completely cleared out. This included medically necessary items that had just been delivered that day through my health insurance, food from the refrigerator and freezer, pantry food, and small appliances and other personal belongings I had brought with me. I was unable to get these items back. I am also still waiting for the refund of my deposit for the following week. I have contacted the hotel about this as well and have not received a response. Having your belongings removed while you're away receiving emergency medical care is upsetting enough. Losing medically necessary supplies, food, and personal property and then receiving no response from the hotel makes the experience even more frustrating. I hope the hotel addresses both my missing belongings and the outstanding deposit refund promptly.

After multiple stays in this area( nearly)every other month many in the facility I will be going elsewhere

Lights out ice maker out of order just to name a few was given a handicap room Did not reserve one Cleanliness is slipping Going in wrong direction Will be in area in August and September I will book elsewhere

The breakfast was very good and the single employee working did an amazing job at servicing the hotel guests. He worked so hard to accommodate everyone since he had so many people come to eat early due to the fire alarm going off. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean.

The room itself was nice and had a kitchenette. Long long hallways (not very clean!!), looks like some of the rooms have “long term tenants”.

Traveled there to take a person to the airport and needed a place to stay overnight. Booked two separate rooms. One of the rooms assigned to us already had people in it. We opened the door and there were kids jumping on the bed and a woman sitting in the corner. This was a huge safety issue for me. Horrible mistake by the staff.

Didn’t realize this shared a lobby with a Sleep Inn…which the sleep inn would have been the preferred accommodations. The mainstay did not have a lobby just a separate entrance to its own building. The breakfast and front desk to check in at was at the sleep in. It was nice but not as clean as I would expect. Counters needed dusted and floor tiles needed cleaned better in the corners. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic!
