I had a room on the second floor and I loved how my view looked from the room. It was a view of the mountains. I also liked the cleanliness of the room and our stay was very good. Loved how it was close to the police station just in case if anything went wrong.

The place was clean and relatively close to the center of the city. The location is just one block away from the icecream square which is a bonus. The vibe of the place is nice and the bed was comfortable. There was no watter whatsoever so we couldn't take a shower in the 3 day stay we had at this place. This is incredibly unfortunate and uncomfortable. When talking to the person in charge of this, he was aware of the problem but unfortunately didn't/couldn't offer a real solution. He mentioned the Hotel owner was aware of the problem but doesnt nothing about it. This is a shame since the location and the rest of the things were in place but the lack of watter at all made it a rather dissapointing experience.

Central for all the sights with many a few blocks away.Staff was extremely helpful.Bed with a private bathroom, shared kitchen . Beds were a little firm for our liking.sometimes the hot water in the shower lost pressure and stopped.More of an inconvenience than a problem.

Cleanliness, location, friendly staff No running water for shower, awful!!

No breakfast offered to us. There is a community kitchen available. Cute place, not far from center. The shower had no water for the 2 days we were there. Reception was useless. Nobody answered out call or messages about this. Luckily the maid let us use the shower in an unoccupied room. I now see reviews about this from 2024 and still the problem persists. Not feeling like the owners care much!

With my son we stayed 3 nights. The room was very clean, we loved the little kitchen with the terrace, the roof top option and the great location. The hotel/hostal doesn't have a 24h reception which was OK. Access is easy, and mostly we had no noise. When visiting the city it's a perfect stay. We loved the fact Boulenc bakery was just for a few minutes walk, so we could grab our breakfast and enjoy it on the hostal's terrace. The staff was helpful and flexible, and it was also an extra we could leave our suitcase at the reception area until leaving to the bus station several hours later after check out. The running water in the shower was not strong but it worked, so no complains really. The room floor could be updated sometimes in the future just because the rest is really nice and it feels clean and modern.

1. Toilet plumbing issues: after flushing, you have to wait around 10-15 minutes before you can use it again. If you travel alone it't not a bif issue but if there are 2 of you, it might be a problem. 2. Noise: the echo from the corridor and the street was really strong, making it hard to get a quiet moment. 3. No hairdryer in the rooms — only one shared among all guests, and if someone takes it and doesn’t return it, you're out of luck. The same issue applies to the iron, though at least it's used less frequently. The kitchen was also lacking in plates, and sometimes they were all taken, leaving nowhere to put food. 4. The hotel is outdated, it looks much older tha on the photos, it needs serious updates and has too many small inconveniences.

Great location, just a short walk to the center, and a great local coffee/chocolate place as well as a great seafood restaurant < 1-minute walking distance. The kitchen is decent and has a clean water dispenser. The rooms are clean and the cleaning staff are very nice and thorough. The staff in general is very nice, patient, and helpful (they only speak Spanish but just use Google Translate of nothing else works) The rooms are not sound isolated at all, you hear everything from the rooms around you and the streets, most nights it is not too bad, but yeah bring earplugs :) The staff is only available morning-early afternoon

Responsive staff and easy check-in. We had plumbing issues the entire length of our stay. It took a long time for the toilet to fill with water to be able to flush. Shower was very weak in terms of water pressure and sometimes we would have no water at all.

The staff were superb. So helpful and friendly. Room was spare but adequate. Fortunately we arrived just before staff left for the day. Since we were on the bus prior to arriving, we did not get the message about the door code. I would suggest sending the code a day ahead of time. Be aware the hotel is five l-o-n-g blocks uphill from center.

Spacious rooms, roof terrace, convenient kitchen, pleasant staff, no traffic noise!

Super clean, friendly helpful staff, great location, 5-10 min walk to Zoccalo Very low water pressure; you have to plan your shower around the time everybody else tries to shower. Early morning or night works. You also have to be patient for the toilet tank to fill up.

The staff are amazing, Ana in particular was super nice, going above and beyond to us get settled into the city.

We could not gain access. Despite being delivered, by taxi from the airport, we could not find the door keypad that they assured me would let us in. We ended up, after midnight, finding another hotel - for twice the price. I would like to complain but, apparently need a property i.d. (it's not the property name). Not happy, at all. Want a refund!!

Very comfortable room, quiet neighborhood, and still easy access to the city center. I enjoyed being able to prepare my own breakfast and the easiness of the whole stay. I was in Oaxaca for work, which implied I was out most of the day. It was the perfect place to stay.

Nothing but the location What did I like? Pretty much nothing. One of the worst stays in my life. The room is small and outdated, wifi burly works, and there’s no hot water because the owner tries to save some money. The hostal’s owner is rude and intense and doesn’t accept credit card. Really poor customer service. We had booked a specific type of room but received a different one. A couple of weeks after this stay, I stayed in Oaxaca in a much nicer place for half the price. I highly recommend to shy away from this hostel.
