Located at the foot of the Dachstein Mountain, Jutel Obertraun is 2.5 mi from Lake Hallstatt. A ski bus stops in front of the property and provides good connections to the ski areas Dachstein West and Gosau-Rußbach-Annaberg. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Rooms at Jutel Obertraun are simply furnished and have a bathroom and a work desk. Large windows flood many of the rooms with a lot of natural light. A buffet breakfast is provided every morning. Good location and free parking. Bunks beds sized for kids which was not an information I saw when booked. Beds were caved in and small, far from comfortable. Maybe due to the short time the price was worse than a hotel in München, but that was the last place available for 4 people. Breakfast was sufficient, selection average, but that is expected in a hostel.

Rooms, breakfast, location etc. were quite good. Very good river view from the property as well. Right opposite to the hotel there is synthetic running track, so fitness is also taken care of. :) There is no wi-fi available in rooms. Its only in lobby and public places. That's kind of bummer.

Decent place. Affordable and very close to Hallstatt, with bus station just outside. Free parking. Very small but functional bathroom. Not so comfortable beds

Easy to find, friendly staff, good breakfast (but only from 8-9am), excellent location near Hallstatt and Dachstein, comfy beds. Nice little community areas to hang out or eat. Free parking. The door handle to our room was loose. Front desk said they had been waiting 1 month for repair. Hand soap and shampoo was empty and front desk was empty by the time we noticed and tried to request more.

While the setting was beautiful, several aspects of the stay were disappointing. There was no WiFi available in the room, and for the price paid, the facilities felt underwhelming. The absence of a tea or coffee maker in the room was inconvenient, and the breakfast service left much to be desired—with only basic options, a very limited one-hour time window, and eggs that were undercooked. The dining area lacked ambiance and felt more like a school cafeteria than a hotel. Additionally, the room had no air conditioning or fan—only the option to open a window, which had no screen to keep insects out.

The receptionists (two ladies) were really supportive and friendly. We were missing the croissants and sweet bakery on the breakfast.

The service and attention given by the staff members were beyond nice. The girls were super helpful and polite. The location is also a win, since it's not only very close to Hallstatt and the access to Dachstein, but its right next to a river in a really nice quite area of Obertraun. The common areas and the rooms were nice and tidy. Great and complete breakfast. We will definitely come back. Both Obertraun and Hallstatt are dreamy! Everything was great. The four-person rooms and private bathrooms were smaller than expected, but still comfortable, functional and super clean. The Parking can also be crowded at night and can be hard to find a spot if you arrive late at night, but still wouldn't hold me back from returning to this wonderful place.

The property was good we are really enjoyed here

Room was very small and didn't have much facilities. Staff only stays till 6 pm so no more help during night time. Breakfast is very basic and Sunday checkout is from 10:00 which seems early.

The room was clean and well-located. There was no wi-fi at all for the rooms and I was not too satisfied with the breakfast.
