The positives are location right on the boardwalk and parking are very convenient and there are places to eat and get coffee on site. The staff was very friendly and check in was seamless. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked like it was in decent shape. So if they updated this place with new carpets, wallpaper, furniture, and addressed some of the infrastructure needs and maintenance, this would be a great place.

Pros: Location: it's down by the "action end" of the boardwalk and easy walking to many restaurant, which is great. Price: even booked last-minute, as we did, it wasn't terrible. Staff: friendly. Cons: Nothing about this hotel is quiet. The poolside bar had amplified, live music until 11pm. (We're GenXers, but nothing prepared us to hear a medley including, but not limited to, an acoustic version of "Give it Away.") Our room's walls were thin enough to hear the other guests occupying surrounding rooms, speaking at conversational volume. The overall vibe of the hotel is... grimy and tired. I think some updates have been made--the lobby looked recently rehabbed, as well as our room's bathroom, but the floors of the halls sag and dip, the carpets have a film on them, and there was a big greasy spot on my nightstand. Grossest of all, though: on the bed, there was no mattress pad between the fitted sheet and the mattress--not hygienic!!! My family used to stay here when I was a kid... sadly, I don't think I'll return, and I certainly wouldn't bring a young family here.

hotel rooms are small. the toilet was disgusting and the refrigerator was not cleaned out. no one came to clean our

Place is old and outdated. Whole hotel needs remodel. The pool was great

The only good thing about the hotel is its location. The rooms are really outdated. The door to the room had an inch gap between the top of the door and the frame. The sink in the bathroom was broken and the bathroom was so small a normal or bigger person could not use the toilet because of there being no room for your legs. When we checked out there was 2 staff working the front desk. They both ignored me, one was on her phone and the other one looked right at me but decided to fill her drink cup up then turn her back to me and clean her purse. After standing there for several minutes I just threw the keys on the counter and left.

Late check in, no choice but to pay for room charge.

The pool area was nice but the rooms were very small and not modernized. The room had bedbugs

It was on the boardwalk and close to the beach. The food at the restaurant there was pretty good. Some nights at the bar by the pool there would be live music and the bands weren't too bad. People at the counter were nice for the most part. The parking situation was terrible. People EVERYWHERE and no regard for personal space. If you have a larger vehicle, good luck because we had no idea how cramped the parking situation was. Barely any room to turn around. The room was disappointing. Very small and dirty. The bathroom wasn't too bad, though I wonder when the last time the shower curtains were cleaned. As soon as we got to the room, the deadbolt was no longer screwed into the wall and fell on the floor when walking through the doorway. So if someone wanted to bust in, they could. It looked like it happened before because part of the door frame was busted in already and cheaply fixed it. :( The floor was very dirty, don't walk on the carpet barefoot! Found a used mens underwear under the corner of the bed. The mattress smelled like someone died on it. I pulled the sheets back to check for bedbugs (I always check before sleeping on beds when away!) didn't find bugs but found a horrible stain like someone bled onto the mattress. Didn't smell great either. They couldn't change our room because their hotel was completely booked. It's very noisy at night in the hallways. I know the people at the hotel have no control over what others do, but it was ridiculous. Kids running and screaming down the hall. Witnessed parents threatening to hurt their kids right at our door. I swear some people don't deserve to be parents. Had people banging on the walls in the middle of the night. So it was very difficult to get a restful sleep. We may not have had the greatest experience staying here at the Plim Plaza, but will have to say the location was great. So I guess you don't win them all.

The location and pools can't be beat! This is our second time staying here. It's right on the boardwalk, with so many things to do within walking distance. The main reason we came back here is the jacuzzis. My kids love the big swimming pool, and my husband and I appreciate having 3 jacuzzis. It was especially useful last year, when the beach was closed due to the hurricane, and this year, when the jellyfish were intimidating. The rooms are TINY, and they also retain moisture. We knew the size of the rooms when we booked the place though. Also, we were surprised to open the microwave and find an old plate of food in there. The parking is a little chaotic. There are a few spaces in the main lot where you can park for a short while to unload your car, then you have to move. The main lot is often full, but there are two additional lots with ample parking just a few minutes away. When we first arrived, all of the spots for unloading, plus all of the spots in the main lot were full, so we had to circle around a few times before we could park to unload our stuff.

We loved the location and the pool was a nice size the staff were all very nice every thing was amazing The building could use some updates but it's still good

Location, the pool and the bar was great, that was it. Staff is not friendly, no hello , good morning, etc. check in was ok, bathroom was not cleaned(toilet), my mistake was that I started to clean it, but then stopped and called to the desk telling them the toilet was dirty. I have stayed here in the past, and never had a problem with room or staff , or the place being dirty , I was so disappointed, the Sundeck , there used to be two rows of chairs , there was only one row maybe 6 /8 chairs , not enough chairs . Where they had the lounge chairs and tables , they used to have cushions, they didn’t , so you were just sitting on the wicker. This place has gone down, bad. I will not be returning here and I will never recommend.

I love the location of this hotel, the amenities are amazing. I just wish the rooms were more updated, it's a little scary walking through the uneven hallway floors.
-
The location and the pool/bar area. The rooms are way too small for 2-double beds and they didn’t clean the room during our stay.
-
Close to everything the pool and bar Couldn’t get towels told 2 people that were cleaning one didn’t have any on cart and other one said she would tell the lady that worked on that side.

Room needs repainted or wall papered mold starting. Staff are great. Pool great.

This was my first stay here and I booked it based on location and the photos online looked good, but I was disappointed in several areas, but let me share the good first. We were given a 3rd floor room and the walk to the room was something else... (tiny hallways and ramps in the hallways). The location is excellent with boardwalk access right outside the front door and the porch area with chairs is fantastic. Given the location, the price was relatively affordable and having restaurants on site is a bonus. The beds were comfortable and clean, but they were two different sizes. For the not so good... The room is very small with a tiny remodeled bathroom, but there's literally no room for anything in the bathroom. The shower has no shelves for soap or shampoo, the shower curtain hangs about a foot off the ground which causes the floor to get soaked. Water pressure was terrible and hot water was hit and miss. Housekeeping didnt have enough towels on their cart for our room which forced me to go to front desk to request more. The doors have large gaps on top and bottom so light comes in the room even at night. Parking is also another issue because if you don't find a spot under the covered parking lot (under the pool), you're foced to park two blocks away. If location is what matters most then it's fine, but don't expect anyone large spacious areas.

Love Plim Plaza. It was my 3rd booking there. Although the rooms are a little dated, they are maintained very well. The rates are very reasonable, and the staff is delightful. But the real prize for the money is the Carribean pool bar with live music. Absolutely wonderful experience, and except for the pool, is open to the public. The location is 2nd St. right on the boardwalk, perfect.

While the cleanliness of the room was ok. The beds were horrible. The staff was great and overall it is a nice hotel to stay in. Downside is of sight parking is a bit more than a block away but other properties also had that issue.
