Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort

Wonderful stay! We really enjoyed our stay at the Princess Royale. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location right on the ocean. Everything was exactly what we were looking for, and we had a wonderful family vacation. We honestly have nothing negative to say about our experience and would definitely consider staying here again the next time we visit Ocean City. Highly recommend!

Beautifully updated resort built in 1991. Check in was a breeze. Our room was clean and comfortable. Nice shower, comfy bed, and the studio had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be to improve the shower products and soap. The smell of the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner was not good. Also, a pump hand soap and body lotion would be appreciated. They provide lots of towels, coffee, and a full fridge/freezer and even a microwave and mini cooktop stove in the studio. The coffee shop on the 1st floor serves Starbucks which is a nice perk. We had drinks at the beach bar and listened to some great live music. All in all a fantastic stay with friendly staff.

When we arrived, the room was dirty. Paul is not as it seemed in the picture. It is small and crowded, there is no lifeguard, and nobody's watching the kids. People are playing with the vol in the pool and it smelled very bad from chlorine the pool view is the window that goes to the pool, and you only get the smell of the pool, no air. definitely a low rate place Stuff was nice . Spa was booked 2 days at advanced. That you didn't even have a chance to get an appointment . do not recommend the place .

Beware! I found cockroaches in my room. When I notified the front desk they offered to send housekeeping to clean the room. Obviously I wasn’t satisfied with this response and asked to be moved to another room. After carefully going through all of our belongings to ensure nothing crept into any of our bags we headed to the front desk. The lady at the front desk showed no empathy about finding bugs in the room, nor the inconvenience of having to repack all of our things and be moved mid trip. She gave us another room and upon entering the room I realized it was a complete downgrade. The room reeked of mold/musk, water stains on the ceiling, dirt stains on the walls, suspicious white stains on the couch and chair, and of course the room was directly next to the elevator so it sounded like a party outside my door at all times. I reproached the front desk asking if I could switch rooms mainly because of the smell, they were adamant that there were no other vacant rooms in the entire building and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and unfortunately she said all she could do was offer me a small credit that could be used at one of their shops on the property. I was so excited to stay here initially, but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with my entire experience here. I will not be back.

Hotel was clean and maintained access to the beach was great. Food and drinks were a bit pricey.

The property was very clean and well run. Staff was very attentive and cleaning staff was exceptional. I liked the indoor pool but wasn't the cleanest unfortunately. But everything else was very very nice!

Maybe the indoor pool need more attention.

Location is awesome and staff were amazing!. Parking is terrible if you have an extra large SUV like a Suburban. Pool was dirty. Many areas need to be repainted and redone like the doors to the hotel rooms that were dented on the outside.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful.

Great location next to the beach. I would recommend getting a room with a slight ocean view. The balcony was great for watching the sunset over the bay and sunrise over the ocean. Coffee shop was great to have, but the restaurants didn’t have enough options. The second floor smelled very strong of chlorine in the hallway on the 2nd floor (floor with the pool) when we arrived on Sunday. It did get better through the week. But I was very concerned that it would smell for our entire stay. If you are sensitive to smells, don’t risk it and stay on another floor.

Clean room friendly helpful staff. We had an issues during our stay with housekeeping but management made it right. Would definitely stay again.

Dirty dishes!!!

Princess Royal is like a resort property rather than a standard hotel. The rooms are like a condominium equiped with a refridgerator, a range and standard kitchen appliances. Princess Royal is great for family vacation. Whenever we decide to visit Ocean City, MD, we will definitely seek Princess Royal as our vacation stay.

The rooms were clean. A beautiful view of the ocean. The staff members were nice and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were great! Love this hotel.
