Accidentally booked a smoking room, they rebooked me for free upon arrival and refused that I pay them any compensation, incredibly kind service. The lobby looks a little tired, but the actual rooms are bright and well maintained with tatami flooring in the non-smoking rooms. Nothing in particular!

Clean and comfortable apartment close to transport, cafes, restaurants etc and short bus to beautiful Korakuen gardens. Friendly staff who also allowed us to keep our luggage there for 48 hours after our stay.

This is an old Japanese hotel that still maintains its quality. While the room is cramped, the bathroom is larger than most. The location is a bit far from the train station but close to the castle and garden. They let me store my luggage for a few hours while I toured the castle and garden. There is only one small elevator but I had no trouble as there were few guests.

Staff were extremely friendly and my room was a good size and clean. The hotel is little outdated, however it is still a lovely hotel to stay at. The property was a 16 minute walk from Okayama Station and the room was little stuffy - this was solved by opening the window. There wasn’t a socket near the bed to charge my phone which would have been helpful but not a huge issue.

The staff at the reception was more friendly. They helped us out with everything we needed. We felt so welcomed. An absolute recommendation!

The simple room that is nonetheless very nice. Also relatively good distance from Okayama station and accessible by bus. Everything is straightforward. I didn't realize English usage is limited for this hotel. This is fine because front desk is very nice and my Japanese helped. This is not really a dislike, but the breakfast was a bit on the expensive end (it's nice, though).

Slightly retro, comfortable, quiet and clean. Didn’t try the breakfast or facilities, a very quick stopover. Some nice restaurants and bars in the area. All was fine

The hotel is exceptionally clean and managed by professional and attentive staff. The room was just as clean with the best air-conditioner in any hotel. This was the first time staying in a smoking room but, surprisingly, the smell was barely noticeable, suggesting good ventilation and care by the staff. This isn’t about the hotel itself, but the area around it can be a little dodgy at night as there are bars and night clubs in the vicinity.

Personal touch was everywhere, they even have a postcard for you to send home. The staff are pleasant and friendly. The location is great with a FamilyMart closeby.

Location was perfect! I stayed here for a night to be able to get to Korakuen quickly before heading to Naoshima. It was the location and room I needed. Everything was great

Very clean, good location - walked from train station & nearby plenty restaurants. Staff friendly & helped sort issues. Only one set of towels, slippers, pillow when checked in but had booked for two guests. Easily fixed by hotel staff very promptly when issue raised.
