Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms. Great breakfast. Great location in Olbia. Reasonably priced. Seems that hotels are only stocking shampoo/bodywash these days, but I would prefer bar soap.

Last minute availability. There was an open part in the ceiling of my bathroom. Location in a back alley that didn’t feel too safe at night when walking alone. Lighting was bad. No atmosphere.

The entire stay was wonderful. The staff was exceptional from front desk, cleaning staff to the breakfast crew. The front desk staff went above and beyond. Gabrielle was extremely helpful with suggestion for a variety of activities. The young lady in the evening, apologies for not remembering her name, was very helpful with the car rental return to the hotel. Breakfast had an excellent choice of foods and staff were very accommodating. Rooftop seating area for evening socializing was a plus after a day of sightseeing. The only issue, but not a deal breaker. The shower was a little small. Able to move, but not much.

No tissues in the room, spartan room, light over the bathroom sink did not work. Bare bones basic room.

The staff was outstanding. So warm and welcoming and accommodating. It truly felt like I was at home. The breakfast spread was also on point and the servers were to die for. I loved my stay so much.

Great location right in the city center. The staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The thermostat was not working or at least I couldn’t adjust it, which meant the room was always at 25 degrees in a 20-22 degree weather, this is way too hot, specially for sleeping, so I kept waking up at night feeling extremely warm, which made me open the windows all the time.

Beds were very comfortable and location was great. Staff were very helpful and restaurant recommendations were excellent.

I stayed at L'Essenza Hotel on the first and last nights of my August holiday in Sardinia. I chose the hotel because it was very convenient by public transport for Olbia airport (There is a bus which costs less then two euros and which drops you a short walk from the hotel). It was also only a short (8 minute) walk to the train station for my onward travel to Alghero. The hotel is located 1 minute's walk from the main street of Olbia where you will find lots of restaurants and shops and which is picturesque and perfect for your evening stroll. Despite this, the hotel is very quiet and not on a busy thoroughfare. The stand-out feature of L'Essenza Hotel has to be the staff. Without exception, I was greeted with a friendly smile and nothing was too much trouble. The staff in the breakfast room would welcome me warmly and offer coffee and eggs made to order. Breakfast was plentiful and varied with a selection of pastries, toast, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, cheese and cold meats. The breakfast room was bright and spacious with a lovely view from the terrace if you chose to eat out there. The staff on the reception desk helped me with understanding public transport options and also allowed me to freeze my cool-blocks in their freezer overnight, which was a godsend as it was 33 degrees in Sardinia during my stay. The air-conditioning in the room worked very well, the bathroom was spacious and well-equipped and my bed was comfortable and afforded a great sleep on both nights. The staff remembered that I had liked the room at the start of my holiday and allocated it to me again when I returned. Lots of lovely people in a lovely hotel. There was nothing which I thought could be improved.
