DEL style Osaka Higashitemma by Daiwa Roynet Hotel

Wonderful stay! The staff was so pleasant and the amenities of the hotel and the room were phenomenal. The price was very reasonable and location was amazing. We only stayed one night, but would highly recommend staying here! nothing, it was amazing!

Bed was comfortable, free machine brewed coffee, latte, hot chocolate and seating in the lobby. Friendly staff. Short walk to Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, and Nakanoshima Park, which was in full cherry blossom when I was there. Breakfast was drip coffee/drink, hard-boiled egg, a packaged pastry, and one of waffle, toast, weiner (hot dog on a bun), I suggest a pass. Location not great for train/subway travel, getting to JR Osaka and other central areas often required a long walk between various rail lines.

Good location, within walking distance to Sakuranomiya Park and Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street. Food options are reasonable within 10 mins walk and 2 train stations nearby. There was a lovely cake shop just few steps away which sold yummy fruit tart. I like that they have ladies floor and ladies only lift that goes straight into the bath house which is very convenient while in pyjamas. The pillow was too high for me so I asked the next day and they offered other types of pillow which was good to have choices. Small room but it's expected, I stayed in a single room. The bath house was very crowded at night that you need to take turns to use the shower. Do check the bath house congestion status on the TV. There was only plastic cup in my room so I couldn't make hot drinks, my friend's room had a ceramic mug so I requested for one the next day.

Nothing, everything was meticulously thought out. The staff were amazing, and the location great. Nothing was too much trouble- we loved staying. Only thing I wasn’t keen on was the breakfast- we’d assumed it was a buffet but it was more western style toast and coffee at a coffee shop on the corner, and we’ve come to Japan to see and experience Japanese culture, this seemed a little off brand. The coffee shop were a bit harsh too- had to choose between butter OR jam for toast. Couldn’t have both which is how you’d usually eat it. And it’s such a tiny thing but it felt a bit stingy. And one of the breakfast choices was a hotdog? We ended up wishing we hadn’t paid for breakfast included. Other than that, highly rated.

Great location - it’s literally a few mins walk from the OsakaTemmangu JR station and the Minami-Morimachi Metro station. It’s also a walkable distance to the Osaka Castle Park (coz whether you opt to take public transport or on foot it’s both gonna take you around 40mins) Interior - decent and modern. Would have been better if there’s more storage space in the room. I’ve stayed at other Daiwa Roynet hotels and some had ample shelves that allow very convenient storing of items. Amenities - there are coffee tea and some basic amenities like toothbrush, cleaning oil etc at the lobby Facilities - there are coin operated laundries which we didn’t use. There is also a seating area at the lobby with free coffee machine as well as a microwave which could be quite useful. There’s also a public bath, it’s not big but sufficient if you want to relax at the end of a long day. They also use showerheads from Refa which I enjoyed. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Room was quite spacious, I think one of the bigger rooms out of all our hotels during our trip. Clean and comfortable. Ideally located and nice staff we had no troubles as such. Very little to almost no options for a veggie/ vegan breakfast. I recommend to not opt for the Bed and Breakfast package if you have a dietary requirement as they don't cater for that, there is a free coffee machine at the hotel reception, easier to just grab a coffee over there since you won't be eating anything for breakfast really. We skipped breakfast the second day but we spent a good few bucks only to be eating bread and jam!

This hotel is about 8-10 minutes away from the closest station(Minami-Morimachi), which may be frustrating if you're looking for easy and fast access to public transportations.

Nice, clean accommodation with helpful staff. Small room with an en-suite was great for solo travel
