Kamon Hotel Namba

Nothing. Terrible experience. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Immediately upon entering our room, we noticed a strong musty odor throughout the room. The bathroom had an overwhelming bleach smell that caused headaches, the bed sheets were damp, the room was really dark with only one small main light, and we could clearly hear numerous dogs barking from a neighboring building. We also noticed stained walls, and when we lifted one of the couches, there was visible dirt and debris underneath, further raising concerns about the cleanliness and upkeep of the room. We reported these concerns immediately after check-in. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, they were dismissed. During our interaction, staff laughed while we were trying to explain the issues. When a member of our group asked whether a staff member spoke English so we could communicate more clearly, we were accused of being racist, which was both surprising and upsetting. The interaction became increasingly unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable staying at the property. During our discussion, staff also told us that “this is how all Japanese hotels are.” Based on our experience, we do not believe this is an accurate characterization. This was our third hotel during this trip, and I have stayed in at least eight hotels across multiple visits to Japan. We have never encountered conditions like these elsewhere. We returned our room keys, left the property within approximately 30 minutes of checking in, and booked another hotel for the remainder of our trip. I cannot recommend this hotel based on both the condition of the accommodations and the way legitimate guest concerns were handled. Please don’t stay at this hotel.

Breakfast was not buffet, you chose western or Asian and they brought you an assortment of things. It was good? But unexpected. But what I didn’t like was that we asked them to keep our luggage after check out and they leave it outside the hotel, under no supervision and take no responsibility if anything gets stolen. Maybe that doesn’t happen in Japan, but it was completely u safe.

Comfortable Hotel - We stayed 3Nights in Kamon Hotel, last 14-17 June 2026, with my niece & nephew. It's our first time in Osaka and we really enjoyed staying in Kamon Hotel. It is very close to train station, restaurants, and stores/shops. Breakfast is also good, Japanese style food. We liked it much. Thank you Kamon. I am sure I will choose you, Kamon Hotel, whenever we come back again to Osaka. Arigato Gozaimasu! We only have one request. If possible, can you add a little more rice in your breakfast Japanese-style? because rice is life for us, Filipinos. I mean who (Asians) doesn't want rice? harhahhahr Thank you so much!

location is standout in namba near the train lines. lots of eateries and dontonbori is so closeby.

The TV doesn't have Nexflix and Youtube build in function.

Brief walk to everything, had a common area for my family

We asked for an early check-in at 3pm, and agreed to pay the extra 5,000 yen fee because their check-in time was at 8pm, which makes no sense… (it’s 1,000 yen/ per hour). However, we didn’t come back until 6pm and they still want to charge us 5,000 yens when it should only be 2,000 yen. The place was extremely old and small, there was stains on the walls, the ac didn’t get cold.

The common space is very minimalist and the continental breakfast could have been better.

Nice location, good room Wasn’t told until a couple days before that check in was at 8pm? Never in my life have I heard of that. But wow, guess what, you can pay to get in earlier! This is a bait and switch. False advertising. They have no good reason as to what they needed the room for that late or why the policy was that way except that I had “paid less.” Nothing stood out to me when i made this booking about an 8pm check in or i wouldn’t booked elsewhere. Staff was really rude and condescending to us when we checked in. I. Ant believe booking.com would sell a room with an 8pm check in. Been all over the world and never encountered anything like this.

I love the location! For family of 4, the room was very very very small.

Great location in Osaka, close to Dotombori and all the action in the evening, good restaurants etc. very close to public transport. Rooms were quite comfortable with comfortable beds and pillows and a nice shower. Lots of little amenities provided and room was very clean. Rooms were a bit small. Breakfast was good but I struggled a bit with a gluten free diet and lack of options.

Beds were comfortable and staff was very friendly. Japan breakfast was fantastic.

The location is excellent! The best part was the breakfast—really delicious—and the location in Namba, very close to the metro and surrounded by many shops and restaurants. However, the late check-in policy was confusing—the Booking app stated 3:00 pm, but we were told it started at 8:00 pm. In the end, the staff allowed us to check in at 5:00 pm by paying an extra fee for each hour. The room was comfortable, but the walls were dirty, which is not typical in Japan.

The hotel is clean with friendly staff and plenty of in-room amenities. Breakfast is included, which, although limited, helps start the day with something in your stomach. Very close to Dotombori and all the shopping area. N/A
