Toho Hotel MOTOMACHI

It was a real surprise. I wasn’t sure what to expect as the hotel is hidden away but I was very happy. The location was great. Very easy walk from the train station and main shopping area. The room was spacious and clean. Staff friendly and rates were very good. No drama leaving bags there after check out. Would stay again. No complaints here.

Great location. Short walking distance to convenience stores, shops and Dotonbori, but in a quieter area. Temperature controls were a little finnicky. There was no auto thermostat, so it was either on with the fan or you had to manually turn it off.

Location and coffee

Great location. Clean and big rooms. Free coffee and soda at the pantry and use of microwave. It would be also good if they will provide free cup noodles like other same-level hotels.

Not so near train station

Great hotel close to the tamachi train station on the yamanote line. And a good price.

It was in a quiet area away from the main streets but still close to OCAT, JR and subways.

Good location, good room for the value

Good location to trains and subways. Was able to leave luggage there early prior to checking in so could enjoy the sights without carrying it around. Enjoyed the complimentary beverages in the lounge. Employees were very friendly. Room was a nice size for Japan and bed was comfortable. Good value for the price. Would have liked to have cream/sugar available with the complimentary coffee. Other than that I have no complaints!

Friendly staff

Good location, 20 minute walk from Dotonbori. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and safe, so the walking wasn't an issue The staff were also very nice and welcoming None

The rooms are big, 10minute walk from Dotonbori and situated in a quiet neighborhood. Mini stop and 7-11 are nearby for your late night combini runs. The building is up to 8th floor only so no issues waiting at the elevator unlike other business hotels. Nothing

JR Namba station is about 6-8 min walking. Other train stations are more than 10 min walking.

Excellent value for money! The room was very spacious and clean. Great location, walking distance from most of the main attractions in Osaka.

I arrived very early before check-in. I just needed to store my bag until my check-in. They store the bags in the lobby and since I had valuable things in my bag reception was kind enough to store them in their office. Room was nice and comfortable. It had everything you need. Good location. I don't know if they have non-smoking rooms, As I was booking 1 day before arrival - I only had non-smoking room option. I didn't like that because the room was smelling cigarettes too strong. But since it was only for 1 night it was not a big deal

The place is nearby convenience store, has hot and cold water available for drinking, microwave at the lobby. Abt 12 min walk to the nearest train station. Green tea available to enjoy. Staff were unwelcoming, not rude level but resting bitch face throughout the time. We informwd them of our early arrival and check in around 10pm. We were already tired, but we felt we are not welcome. This is the worst level of hospitality I've experienced in all of my Japan trips. Also, the robe can get itchy, got skin allergies aftewards. It probably was just me, so I am not complaining but warning to future guests that it can happen.

Perfect

The property is new and the room is spacious, perfect for the four of us (2 adults and 2 children). We were able to leave our bags before check-in, and the staff spoke English very well. On the first floor next to the elevator, they also provide various amenities you might need in the room, from combs, shower caps, green tea, razors, toothbrushes, to toothpicks. Very convenient and comfortable.
