Paje by Night was our absolute favourite during our travels around Zanzibar. The accommodation not only met our expectations but exceeded them in every way. The garden was beautiful and well maintained, equipped with comfortable leisure furniture, a pool, and various sports activities. The restaurant served excellent food, and the staff were particularly warm and welcoming. The beach is only a three-minute walk from the accommodation, which was very convenient. One of the main reasons we chose this place was the availability of yoga classes. As a semi-professional yogi, I was initially slightly concerned about the level of the classes, but I’m happy to say that my experience fully met my expectations. Three classes are offered daily, with great variety and quality. Our only regret was our short-time stay.

The Ac stopped working but they fixed it after 1 day also the safe one day i came to unlock it but i couldn’t ?‍♀️and i used to put the same code for 3days so after 3 d it didn’t work martin gave me a key to open it also he proposed the king room when the AC stopped which was so kind of him ???

The hotel is located 30 seconds from the beach. Breakfast is really great. We always got fresh fruit and a fresh fruit juice, tea, cpffee and water. Then we had the choice between eggs, sausage toast with veggies or a bagle with eggs or yoghurt and granola or avocado sandwich. And for desert we could chose between pancakes, crepes or the cake of the day. The pool is very nice and my kids and I really enjoyed it. During the day you can also order drinks and food to the pool. They provide pool towels. In the hotel garden you will find a lot of sitting and hangout areas or you can relax in a hammock. The hotel offers laundry service and you can book tours or taxis. Almost all of the rooms got renovated in the last couple of month and they all are provided with A/C, mosquito nets and get sprayed every night. We where there in July and had absolutely no problem with mosquitos. All rooms are very cozy and have lots of storage place. From this hotel you can walk also into Paje and through the village to go shopping, to restaurants or get streetfood at night. We absolutely loved the location of the hotel. At night we had multiple groups of monkeys walking through the hotel. One dog and one cat belong to the hotel we totally fell in love with ( my kids still talk about Joshua and people). The place looks exactly like the pictures you can find online. If we would ever go back to Paje we would 100% choose this hotel. The staff made us feel like family and they made every wish come true. We wanted a place that was clean, safe and close to the beach. Paje by Night was perfect! We were impressed by the staff - they were fun and respectful and they aimed to please! Breakfast started at 8am. For early risers that was a bit late. We requested to have coffee at 7am and that was no problem - they had water and coffee available early!

The staff were very nice especially Martin, Patricia.

The restaurant was so nice and relaxed, I loved the gardens and all of the lush plants. Pizza is so good!

Paje By Night Bungalows has been the absolute best location for us in Paje to ‘land’ after a long travel in great hospitality, coziness, comfort, clean bungalows and safety. It’s not a 5-star resort, but we also don’t like that. - We like to be connected to local culture and immerse ourselves in the surroundings of where we stay. - The compound offers the most beautiful jungle paradise garden (with monkeys!), amazing swimming pools, a great quality restaurant and amazing pizza night and we were being welcomed and helped by the friendliest staff every day for all our questions and wishes. - There is a nice shopping street and supermarket next door and when walking down one little street from the swimming pool garden area, you arrive directly on the beautiful beach where you can also find an amazing kitesurfing school, many more bars and restaurants! - We travelled a bit off-season, so it was more quiet on the island in general, but we felt super safe everywhere and walked almost everywhere by foot, ending up getting greeted at locals homes and being guided by the little children to the beach <3. We really felt like coming home in paradise, and were so sad to leave as we booked another location in advance. Thanks again to all of the staff for making our stay in Paje, the best one we could wish for. We will be back!

Exceptional

Great location second from the beach. Gives you peace and tranquility by the cool pool just two minutes walk from the sandy beach. The staff is so friendly and easy going, we felt at home immediately. The breakfast is yummi and the restaurant solid. We stayed in the Family Room, great choise if you’re traveling with kids. One of the best holidays we’ve had. We’re definitely coming back♥️ Music in the morning but no problem, the staff will gladly turn it down.

This place is unbelievable value for money. The rooms were large and clean. The staff were amazing, especially Amon, Joseph and Martin. There is a live band on Tuesday and pizza night on Thursday. Yoga is offered daily. We didn’t use the pool (the beach is a stones throw away!)

The staff was friendly. Our son got attacked and bitten by a monkey just outside our bungalow. The hotel didn't do anything to prevent further attacks (a girl was attacked later the same day) or tried to compensate us in any way. The pool was dirty. The AC in our room didn't cool the whole bungalow, mostly because the lack of glass in the windows.

The breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruits and many choices of eggs, veggies and sweets. The staff was very helpfull organizing our trips. If we needed anything extra in the room, we could just ask and it was delivered right away. Big plus was the generator, as there were daily powercuts. In the previous place (no generator) we had do to do hours without running water for example. Also the monkeys were cute. We could watch them for hours, especially the baby monkeys playing in the trees, using them as swings. The yoga lessons are really good! Tried a few during our stay, loved the place and the teacher Malika. Nothing to say. Yes it is not a brandnew hotel, as you can find now many around, but it has a charm which we loved. And the garden is just so peaceful! We decided to stay another few nights, thank you guys!

The staff provided outstanding service and they are super friendly and helpfull.. Rooms are spacious and well organised. The hotel is located at the centre where you can easily walk to the beach and supermarket. Breakfast is tasty and of varieties. All was fantastic

My stay at Paje By Night was simply wonderful. From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, I was very well looked after by the attentive and professional staff. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped, offering everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The services offered, such as ( breakfast, lunch, dinner and pool) , were of the highest quality and exceeded my expectations. The location is also excellent, with easy access to the main attractions in the area. I recommend Paje By Night to anyone looking for comfort, quality and impeccable service. I will definitely be back soon!

Good location and nice environment, friendly staff Very basic, in need of renovation. Slow service at the restaurant. You need to wait 30 min to one hour to get the food, even breakfast that they should prepare before. The staff smokes weed, which might explain the slow service. Over priced yoga sessions and the tours that are offered is not worth the price.

I didn't get the garden view room I paid for and the alternatives weren't that satisfactory
