Great stay! Owner was very accommodating to my last minute booking.

a nice basic breakfast was served on the patio, and viviana was always very helpful. coffee was available at anytime. some other reviews mention narrow stairs and an external private bath, which was not true for our room (#4). the narrow stairs applies, i think, if you are in the room on the top floor, and this may be true of the external private bath, but the stairs to our room were perfectly normal, and the private bath was en suite. we especially liked the whimsically furnished common room. the wi-fi is best there, btw. you can't beat the location if you want to see the sites of the old part of the city. you'll be close to everything. we enjoyed our stay.

The owner asked us to pay tax but we checked and it was written in the website that the tax is already included. if we didn’t check this information we would have paid it twice

The pluses outweigh the negatives just with great location, fantastic breakfast on the outside deck, comfy bed, eager staff. Quaint & novel shared areas. The room allocated to booking.com is NOT the pick of the litter! It is up tight narrow stairs in what I'd describe as a rabbit warren with the reserved bathroom on the main floor level. So, the bags had to be carried by me up over 4 flights! No tv but that's normally only used to get the weather & BBC news. Only one towel was supplied and after asking still didn't get another? A language error, I think? Not overly cheap for the room. Located in a pedestrian free area and the recommended parking garage was full on our arrival, late at night! Would have hoped that venue would pre-book spaces for guests?

• Excellent location: close to Teatro Massimo and a lively street with cafes and shops. • Quiet at night despite being near the action. • Friendly and welcoming host. • Breakfast was included and a nice touch. The apartment is up a narrow stairway, two flights up, which could be challenging for some.

We stayed with our family of 7 and had 3 rooms. They worked well for us. The family style room seemed adequate. We did have an incident with water over the deck that caused some concern for the management BUT they were very gracious and did not over react to the situation. One note, our son's bedroom was up a narrow flight of stairs from the bathroom. This worked for him but would be difficult for an older person/couple. The room was small too. We loved the location! Be aware, there are stairs at the entry which can be difficult for elderly. Stairs at the entry was the biggest concern but even at 77 years of age my husband and I did manage. Thankfully, we had strong people with us to carry the bags!

Excellent location to historic part of the city. Fabulous restaurants on the street we were on! Well marked once on the correct street.

Location beside Teatro Massimo was perfect for day trips around Palermo on foot or by bus to Monreale. Lots of restaurants very close by. Our ferry from Palermo to Lipari was cancelled due to Hugh winds, so we stayed three extra days. A bit noisy when bars put out bottles for collection
-
Central location, easy access with a fun nearly invisible entry door, good security. Friendly staff. The room #3 is small but it has every thing you need. Breakfast is typical of the area. There’s a lively area of restaurants right outside. Noise was minimal aside from the usual noises in city setting. If you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs.

Great location and super clean. When I booked I didn't realize the bathroom was private but outside the room and also there was no hot water.
-
Location and room size Kitchen is locked, outside kitchen area do not have water tap, if you want use kettle, you have to take the kettle in your own room to get the water.
-
Location is really good, spacious room, many restaurants down stairs, very nice breakfast. None
