Good cold AC in the room. Good location When we arrived, we were told there was a problem with our room. We came back two hours later and then were told that our room had been given to someone else. The owner walked us several blocks away and bought us a room at Hotel Mediterraneo. We had to stay there the first night and move back to Albergo Verdi the second night which we did not appreciate.

Very convenient location across from the Teatro Massimo. The room size is adequate an the bathroom is nice. It is perfectly suitable for the price. There were delicious pasticcini for breakfast, very fresh and warm and not the typical stale cornetti you find in most places. The owner also made espresso and it was very good. The only issue I had was opening the front door to enter the hotel the first few times and had to ring the buzzer but once I got the hang of it no issue.

Great location near Teatro Massimo and shopping, lovely family running the property. Clean and well set up. Lots of steps - no elevator. And be prepared to hear the nightlife

Perfect location, lovely hosts (they don't speak english but if you have a phone translation is not a problem). Not suitable for people with mobility issues (stairs) but otherwise great.

Location is across from the opera house every site is close and at night it is very quiet for the center of town but the big winner is breakfast coffee anyway you want and HOMEMADE pastries cakes along with all the other options You have to walk up to the 2 floor not for a heavy packer

We experienced several incidents upon our arrival late in the night, which left us without a room in Palermo. On this platform, we saw that, at 1 am, a room was available for the same night and booked and paid for it immediately. When we arrived at the hotel a couple of minutes later, no one opened the door to us and no one answered the phone. Later, neither the hotel nor this platform would return the money because, according to them, we "did not show up". I perfectly understand that a hotel is closed for the night, however, in this case, booking a room and taking the money for it should then not be possible. Simply stating we "did not show up" is seriously distorting the facts.

Central location is excellent! Having reception 40 steps up from street level was a major surprise and distress. This limited my potential enjoyment of Palermo. The lack of a lift must be clearly stated in the property description.

Second stay here this time stored my luggage as it is 2 long flights of stairs to carry bags down they do have a system of hoists to take bags up.

Nothing Booking specified double room for single occupancy with a queen size bed as was offered through booking.com website. Hotel asked for extra 25 euros for a queen size bed and otherwise offered two single beds which made no sense for one person, also didn’t honour the booking. Reception was smelly as hotel owners / managers (?) have their private kitchen in the reception area so the property is filled with cooking fumes. The lock of the offered bedroom was broken and the door couldn’t be locked, a maid entered at 7am into the bedroom where locking was not possible and woke the guest up. The most weird property ever seen.
