I always book rooms with two twin beds, but somehow the reservation did not show this selection, while the front desk was helpful in switching us to the last available twin-bed room after check-in, our stay was impacted by a persistent problem in the bathroom. Starting the second morning, we noticed a strong, unpleasant odor in the bathroom. It was only manageable by keeping the air-conditioning on constantly, which made the room uncomfortably cold (and the temperature wasn’t adjustable). On the final day, I discovered the smell was coming from the hole in the wall-mounted bidet wall (not the bidet we use in U.S. homes). Given that this was the only twin-bed room available and we had just two more nights left, we didn’t want to make too much fuss at time. However, this issue should be addressed before future guests stay here. The hotel staff were responsive, but maintenance clearly needs to investigate and resolve the odor problem. Hope this helps improve the experience for others!

Location

The property itself is a gem. It's like living in heritage property. The location is fabulous and absolutely in the midst of most happening place but yet private and calm. Staffs are fantastic!!! Finally, breakfast is really good and the ambience is such that you would want to sit and enjoy your morning coffee to the fullest. Rooms were sufficiently big for our needs, clean and overall very happy with the stay. If you are travelling with your own/rental car, this can be trickly. Firstly there's restricted zones which you must avoid and it's not easy to know (even with Google Maps) which roads are allowed and which roads are not allowed. You need to buy the restricted zone access everyday you wish to take your car out/in. Moreover, parking is a stress at the hotel - there's always a military car waiting near the hotel entrance asking you to move your car immediately even before the Vallet comes to park your car.

The room is big. Breakfast is good. I felt safe walking around the area day and night

Beautiful rooms and hotel. Quiet location. Extremely clean room with beautiful linens. Smoking allowed in lobby. Had to pay an extra person charge when we were just two people (husband and wife) in a room with a king-sized bed. Was told the price I was quoted was based on one person only. Our room was already pretty pricey so with the added fee it was fairly expensive.

We had two issues during our trip : - First one : the reception told us at the check in that the breakfast was included in the price already paid, but it was not and they finally charge us. - Second : we discover that we had two single bed. The receptionist propose to change the sheets and merge the two bed, but it never happened.

It was a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. I loved that it was unique since it was in a historic building that had been turned into a hotel. The rooms were comfortable and not cookie-cutter. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

The service provided was impeccable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The architecture of the building is beautiful, with rooms that include a small terrace.

Being a more than 200 years old building converted into a very beautiful hotel with specious old fashioned yet modern rooms. Location was super excellent and courtyard is peaceful. However, Price was high. Few number of staff were not friendly like their colleagues.
