Hotel Principe di Villafranca

The Hotel from inside, was looking well care, nice decoration and comfortable, the person that did help wit the bags, was very friendly. We were there from the 5 to the 8 of may 2026, and the woman in the reception, was incredible unfriendly, in the moment of the check out, and ask for my keys to pick up my rented car, this person just let me go go with out open the garage, the distance is not so short from reception, I have to go back to tell here that the door was close and then I have a incredible un respected answer… “Up,s” and a and-polite smile, was clear that was a game for here, not to respect the time from the clients, never a sorry. My experience was terrible, thanks to this unprofessional receptionist, never will recommend a place taht not have respect for the client.

The location was good and staff was very helpful before and during my trip. Breakfast was excellent with good variety & staff Temperature was a little warm so I slept with window open

The gathering room (pictured above), small bar and breakfast area were delightful. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety, nice staff. Monica at the front desk was really helpful, making dinner reservations, etc. At first glance, it was unimpressive, the room was smallish, overlooking what I thought was an alley with a car wash ( noisy early in the morning). It was a main street. Once we got used to it, it was easier to get around.

The hotel was very clean, room was comfortable and felt very safe. The breakfast room was lovely. The night we got there the receptionist was unhelpful, the breakfast staff did not offer hot drink refills, coffee was not good and the staff disappeared into the kitchen and hardly came out. we asked for milk for our room to make a hot drink and was told there was none and the coffee and tea in the room was never replenished.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience. Just one week before our trip, Hotel Principe di Villafranca informed us that they were relocating us to a different hotel due to “logistical reasons.” The replacement hotel was in a completely different neighborhood and had a very different atmosphere - it felt outdated and catered mainly to tour groups, which was not what we had booked or would even consider to book. We found this last-minute change by Villafranca to be poor hospitality because it didn’t give us any time to react and we had to settle for where they put us.

Staff. Arts on the walls. Breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere. Parking. There is no music in lobby.

A well located hotel with very friendly staff members and modern and clean rooms. The bathrooms and beds are confortable but the breakfast is rather basic in terms of ingredients and buffet options. Super nice people working in housekeeping, always smiling! We booked it because of the interesting rates (CHF 250.- per single room for three nights in June) and would return anytime again. No electricity plugs next to the bed.

Excellent location close to all restaurants and points of interest in Palermo and the center of the city. The hotel was clean and the room was a bit small, but not cramped. Continental breakfast every morning. Love the sitting room where a cocktail or beer could be enjoyed among our group before going to our rooms. Very attentive staff. Secure parking available on the property, so no need to move the rental car. Quiet street. We all were very happy with the property.

The common spaces, which we only discovered late on the day we arrived, are very attractive. We would have enjoyed spending time in this gracious area. The breakfast offerings are varied and good. Our room was quite oddly laid out, with an empty 'hallway' between the bedroom and the bathroom. Our window looked into a gloomy, cluttered back area.
