Location and parking

Breakfast was alright but not at the location. Location is very central (a few meters away from the Palermo street food market. Host allowed us to check in early and that was great. Toilet seat missing-I think that in a nice place like they have it should be installed.

Lovely hotel in a very lively neighborhood. There is no parking near the hotel. We parked outside the barrio for the night but don’t expect to have parking at the hotel. If you are driving, do not try to park in the neighborhood. It is VERY difficult.

Staff were very quick to respond and always helpful, going the extra mile to help us out. The place is perfectly situated to explore the city, though we felt a little bit unsafe in neighbourhood during night time. We stayed for just one night so the need for amenities and space didn't arise. A very simple place, exactly what we needed to explore Palermo. The fridge was not working and the shower curtain would need a change.

We were allowed to leave our bags prior to check in Where do I start? Our welcome was nice. We went to our room and it was very dark. Trying to turn on lights but none were working. There was one side table lamp pointing to the floor that was working. We called the host and he said he can’t come that night and we will have to wait till tomorrow. We spent the night with one tiny side table lamp. Overnight, the noise outside was insane. Very difficult to get any sleep, no noise insulation to the property. Moving on to the bathroom, no soap and the door barely hanging on. The person in the room can hear everything going inside the toilet. The next morning comes, breakfast time. We go downstairs and there’s no one. We try to rummage through the kitchen to find some breakfast. We found a couple of croissants and some juice in the fridge. A guy came down - he tells us he was a guest- but also trying to help? Another couple came downstairs and asked for croissant and milk and they were told by this guy - sorry no milk. Excellent for ‘breakfast included’ The saga continues, I ask this guy if he knows where I can some soap, he points to this box in the lobby with some half used hand soap and toilet rolls and tells me to help myself. The shower head was not holding up. Again we tell the host, and he’s like I’ll come tomorrow. When he does come to fix these things, he uses some tape to hold the shower head up and fixes one other dim light in the room, frankly leaving quite dark still. There were at least 2 other lights in the room that were not working. Overall, our stay was horrendous. I do NOT recommend. This was not all. I raised a concern with booking.com to ask for a refund considering our stay. The property were not getting back to them. When I messaged the property, they just cancelled my booking retrospectively so I wouldn’t be able to leave a review. Many calls with booking.com later. Here we are !

I'm afraid the cheese rice ball had ham in - takes much expeerience to steer clear of prosciutto.

Location excellent for trains buses and walking aroundcity Locals should clean up area and not leave to others.

Very nice room, decorated with attention to detail with beautifuly restored old pieces of furniture. Room was big enough for our family and very clean. While the hosts did not speak English, this was not a problem at all due to their ability to improvise. Location was very close to the city centre. Parking was challenging. While the street was quite loud in the evening, this was not a problem. The part of the city itself provided for a bit of a culture shock, but we did not have any issues.

It is close to main attractions and public transportarion. Cute Italian breakfast with croissants and coffee. For one of the rooms the shower door was broken. It was strange that there was a window in the bathroom where you can see another bathroom next doors. It was extremly noisy from outside at night.

I would like to thank to Anis. He was very kind all the time. He made us a perfect capuchino for breakfast. Everything good. I recommend the Bahalara Alloggio for the nice treatment, the decoration is beautiful and it is near from train station of Palermo. You can get there walking.

It's a great location and is really convenient. The balcony view and the hole in the floor are awesome. The host was very attentive and left us some bread and some lemons which was very kind. The WiFi didn't really work and the shower only stayed hot for a minute before going cold. There was also dirt on the balcony that was difficult not to track into the bedroom. I will also mention that my partner and I checked out a bit later than we should have (our own mistake - my phone had no signal so I didn't get the hosts texts) but the host lied in the message and said the next people who were staying had cancelled because of us? - but they hadn't. Which is a strange guilt-trippy thing to do and put a bad taste in our mouths for the rest of the holiday.
