Location, cleanliness One staff. AC was switched off (inspite of us selecting AC room for summer) . When we talked to the reception, he said just open the windows and went on to lecture us on how it is good for the environment.

One staff on duty was pleasant and tried to work with us. Nothing else, sadly. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past 10 years. This is the first time I have not had a good experience. So much so that I am seriously considering finding alternate accomodations for future trips. Additionally I have several friends that have enjoyed this hotel in the past and I would inform them I do not want to stay here again. I booked a room for 3 people. We were put in a double room with an "extra" bed. The space was smaller than hotels I have stayed in in NYC. There was almost no room to manuever around each other. The outlets were off centered as the double bed had been pushed towards the window to allow the extra bed to be shoved into the small space. When phones were plugged into the wall the cords hung down over the pillow, and the face of the person trying to sleep there. There were only 2 sets of towels. If the booking had indicated we were booking a double room with a extra bed and extra person this may have been ok. The problem was we did NOT book a double room for 3 people. The second morning I spoke with the person on duty who agreed that this mismatch should not have happened and moved us to a larger room. Again there were not 3 sets of towels, which was remedied by us requesting more. Then next morning when I asked for 2 additional coffee pods for the room the male attendant on duty refused. He scoffed at the request and stated managment would not allow such a thing. Again I was taken by surprise! For the amount of money Fred was collecting from us this time and so many times in the past---we are arguing over 2 additional coffee pods? Wow.... He ultimately ended up giving them to us with lectures on how this was not procedure and we were demanding. At this point I am done with Fred Hotel. I gave him the pods back and told him this was the most ridiculous and unpleasant stay I have ever had at this hotel. I would love to hear your thoughts and be convinced to try again....

I liked the hospitality of the staff, except for one, everyone was very polite and friendly. We were allocated the first floor, which was suitable for a family with a toddler. However, it was located next to the stairs, and I was disturbed every morning by people using them.

Nice staff. Appreciate the human touches like chairs at the check in desk, very good after travelling. Everything was very clean. Bed comfy. Room decorations fun but tasteful. Some things are a little poorly thought out, like to open the shower door you have to pull in a glass cube that's flush with the door, very slippery. Hallway lights are a little hard to find in the dark.

The location is good We didn’t have a single window in our room, so the only option Lo let fresh air in was to open the door, but other guests were smoking outside so it was unbearable. The shover was dirty and full of fungus. The bed was not a proper for two adult people.
