I left a jacket in the closet and they called immediately to let me know Double Connecting Rooms #402 and #403 The Hotel Manager, Laurent. Laurent is arrogant and a definite narcissist (he’s right, you’re wrong, and he simply DOES NOT care). I was unhappy with my room and when the Hotel Manager arrived in the lobby, he did not introduce himself (he just looked at me). I asked if he was the Hotel Manager and his reply…‘Yes, and it’s my day off’. I booked the ‘Double Connecting Room’. This is NOT a connecting room similar to hotels in the United States. The Hotel Elixir has a ‘key controlled door’ in the hallway that opens to a roughly 3’ x 3’ area (this is the connecting part). Once you stand in this 3’ x 3’ area, you have two key controlled guest room doors…(2-double rooms). I paid extra for the connecting rooms and when my son asked if we could switch to 2-regular rooms at a much lower daily rate Laurent’s response was ‘sure, but you’ll be paying the same price as the connecting room’. We stayed two nights. If you want a hotel with a narcissistic Hotel Manager – this is the place for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere!

Shower was not that great, especially for my 6-2 partner.

Location was ok We wanted to get a cup of coffee in the morning and the staff wouldn’t allow us to bring a cup of coffee to our room! Totally unacceptable in my opinion (we didn’t opt to include breakfast but were willing to pay for the coffee!)

The location could not be better. It’s in the 1st arrondissement which makes it ideal to walk in the best parts of Paris like Le Marais. Lots of shopping around and good restaurants and cafes and the metro Chatelet steps away. I loved how peaceful it is and a good right sleep in a quiet hotel is a moat after walking all day. The bed was comfortable and the room was bigger than other hotels I’ve stayed. The bathroom is small but you have everything you need including Fragonard products as toiletries. The person who checked me in was Victoria ( I believe her name was) she was nice and professional. The street smelled like urine, but other than that, nothing else.

Such an incredible stay. The location couldn’t have been better—perfect for exploring the city and with easy access to both train and metro stations. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. Absolutely a 10/10—highly recommend!

Great location. Nice sized room. Comfortable bed. Enjoyed the bathtub, fridge and Nespresso machine. Nothing.
-
Very central location within walking distance of most of Paris traditional tourist attractions. Our room was really big - able to fit 2 adults and 2 kids with space. everything was clean and new.

The room wasn’t super clean. I noticed the dust in the closet doors and the room is so small that the closet it’s almost attached to the bed.

I was looking for a room in the center of Paris to rest and relax and I chose the standard for the double bed. As a solo traveler the hotel and the room itself covered my simple needs. The area is great, very close to Notre Dame and Louvre museum and next to the bus station, train and metro (it was good to know that I could admire the Eiffel tower as late as I wanted without having to worry about how to get back to the hotel). The staff was very polite and provided all the major information. My room was on the 6th floor, my only view was the rooftops of Paris from my window (no balcony which I didn't mind), air conditioner (I was setting the temperature), table and chair, a kettle and Nespresso machine (with variety of tea bags and coffee capsules), a small safe and small fridge hidden inside cupboards, iron, hangers, bathrobe, amenities kit in the bathroom, hotel slippers and new towels everyday plus they always made my bed and I think they replaced the sheets after a couple of days. Overall, I enjoyed my stay! 1. I.found dust under the bed (nothing to worry about thought) 2. Some nights there were people screaming outside on the street which was scary
