Belleville location is great. Very clean room. Stairs are tricky, there’s an elevator that requires you to use stairs so it’s not accessible. Staff weren’t interested in greeting, they were ok when approached. In the early morning a pungent revolting smell came through the air conditioning (during a heatwave) that smelled like sewerage. For the same price I would stay elsewhere, it’s too expensive compared to Babel’s boutique standard. No coffee in the room. I wouldn’t like to stay as a single woman traveller, even though I stayed as a couple it just didn’t reinforce a safe feeling at all.

I enjoyed the location and it being off the main street helped with noise, as well as a Metro stop only a few minutes walk. We had a nice room, spacious overall. The air conditioning worked well, we couldn’t control it but it was just cool enough to manage. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! I did not enjoy that the first room we were offered smelled heavily of marijuana, but they were able to move us to another room thankfully. The bathroom was also very small and narrow (we knocked the toilet paper off the holder everytime we stepped into the bathroom). The shower was also prone to leaking which wasn’t ideal.

Very clean, well presented. Staff really helpful. We couldn’t turn down the room temperature sadly, although it was relatively cool, it was not cool enough for our liking.

The room was very clean and comfortable and has a nice style. The location was great. Belleville is a really nice area. Perhaps you can't expect it all, but I didn't have a view from my room. Not the end of the world, but it felt a bit closed off. The bed was a bit short? But for the rest very comfortable. When I checked in, no information was shared about the door at night (you need to call someone, there is no code) which was a bit confusing, but nonetheless, all went well.

Just note that it is at the top of the hill so it’s a little bit of a walk up hill from the train station and Lakefront
