Warmhearted staff. Room not cleaned everyday but not dirty though. I will still return there if I ever visit.

- Correcte pour une nuit avant de voyager à partir de la Gare du Nord (10 minutes à pied) - L'accueil était chaleureux et souciant (en) - Fine for a one-night stay before early-morning travel from the Gare du Nord, which is 10 minutes away on foot - The man at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful (fr) - Le quartier était très bruyant jusqu'à très tard, même un lundi soir - La chambre était minuscule (c'est peut-être normal pour Paris, mais je ne le connais pas très bien) (en) - The neighborhood was very noisy until very late at night, and my stay was on a Monday night - The room is TINY (that may very well be normal for Paris, but I'm not very familiar with the city)

The location is amazing when it comes to commuting to all the important sights, there are groceries and cafes/restaurants nearby. For female travelers it's safe, hotel is right next to main street nothing shady, as always you gotta be aware of your surroundings just in case. The staff was friendly. Don't know about breakfast haven't tried it. For those that are not nitpicking, it's worth it if you are on a budget and don't mind just staying there for sleep and washing especially if you want to visit and sightsee absolutely the most of Paris and not stay in accommodation for more than needed. The room was small, we had two suitcases and two backpacks so it was a struggle to fit everything and manage to walk around the room. The bed is good enough for the hotel of one star, bathroom is really small though, you could barely turn around. I don't think it's suitable for all types of bodies unfortunately. There is fan but no AC but it's safe to leave balcony doors open through the night if you want to have air and sleep well (if you don't mind random noise from outside) and don't expect to have 100% quietness in the room either bcs walls are thin and you can hear others. When it comes to room being clean ehh I'm sure they clean it but it's pretty old so make sure to bring your own pillowcases, towels and other necessities. No elevator either

I was upgraded from a double to a family room when I checked in. The breakfast was pretty good, especially the huge cappuccino. Staff were very friendly and I felt generally comfortable staying there. I feel that you get what you pay for, and if people want to complain about something like no air-con, that's an unrealistic expectation. There was a fan in the room, which I didn't use, but I could imagine that it would be necessary in hotter weather. Some guests could be intimidated with the atmosphere of the immediate neighbourhood. There are many African hairdressers/beauty shops on the nearby main road, Boulevard de Strasbourg, with large noisy groups of guys hanging around outside them. As a solo female traveller, I don't think I would want to come back to the hotel after dark. I like being out all day, an early dinner then relaxing in my hotel room so this wasn't an issue for me.

There is no hair dryer, same breakfast in all days

the location was perfect, the room a bit too mmm for 100 euro old structure, not super super clean, great position though, and the staff was super nice.

I had a good stay at this hotel. In particular the receptionist (Mounir) was very helpful and friendly. I had a early morning checkout, and he went out of his way to serve me breakfast before leaving. Great experience.

The host (young guy) very nice and supportive in all aspect?. Good French breakfast and a good location. Room was too small especially the bathroom ?, Sory but it may be the standard in Paris. No lift and i was on the 6th floor ?.

For the price, it absolutely exceeded expectations. This is by no means a luxury hotel though, but if your main objectives are like mine (cheap, in a good neighbourhood, good mass transport, with separate bathroom), it will provide all of them. They even upgraded us to a larger room, with a balcony. The general room hygiene wasn't as bad as I expected by reading other reviews. The staff were also nice and very helpful. Some renovation works are probably required soon. Everything worked for us, but the toilet seat was moving a bit, the tap wasn't very smooth, it was hard to drain the bathtub, the paint of the walls could be cleaner, etc. It also has a slight college dorm room feeling.

The room was big, and clean Nothing

Calm , clean and warm Staff very welcoming and friendly Some steps away from Gare de l’Est and Subway Line 4 ( Château d’eau ) Bathroom is ok A French window opening onto a balcony to let you have a certain street view Room looks old fashioned Unfortunately there’s no lift , so be prepared for a sport session to get into your room Single room is so small

Smell bad, not clean, no elevator
-
Nothing to complain about! No elevator is expected in Paris and the breakfast was very basic. But the room was clean and comfortable and so was the bathroom. I even had a balcony on the 5th floor! They let me check in early and check out late. Breakfast could be better
