A complete disappointment — nowhere near a five-star experience. We chose this hotel because a friend of mine had stayed at another property from the same brand on the Champs-Élysées and had been absolutely delighted with her experience. Unfortunately, our stay at this location could not have been more different. The hotel, and especially the rooms, are extremely outdated and poorly maintained. The cabinet doors concealing the washing machine would not close because the fittings and screws were loose — the kind of basic maintenance issue you would not expect even in a modest property, let alone a supposed five-star hotel. The air conditioning was a separate nightmare. It could not be properly regulated: we either had to sleep without it or endure extremely cold air blowing directly and constantly into the room. I became ill during the stay because of it. The heated towel rail, which we needed to dry the clothes we had washed, did not work either. When we asked a staff member for help, he admitted that he did not know how it worked and simply left without resolving the issue. Even worse, the bathroom ceiling was covered in grey mould, apparently caused by dampness. This was not a small, isolated patch — practically the entire ceiling was grey. The condition of the room was unacceptable and potentially unhealthy. However, the most disturbing part of our stay was what happened to my pyjamas. We stayed for only two nights, and after housekeeping serviced the room following our first night, I returned to discover that my pyjamas, which I had left on the bed, were missing. Initially, the hotel suggested that housekeeping might have accidentally collected them together with the bed linen and sent them to the laundry. This explanation was deeply concerning. I asked the staff: what if, instead of my pyjamas, it had been my Cartier watch left on the bed? Would that also have been collected “by accident”?

Fantasic location, 10 minutes walk to the Effiel tower, along with the main resturant and cafe hotspots! Clean, mordern hotel, nothing special but location would be hard to beat. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't have the room I had booked with a balcony available on arrival. They did upgrade us by two room categories, which was appreciated, but the upgraded room still didn't have a balcony, which was disappointing. The bathtub also had extremely low water pressure on the first night, making it difficult to use. However, after I reported the issue, it was fixed immediately, so I was happy with how quickly the staff responded. The staff were friendly and did their best, although they seemed a little understaffed. That said, I visited during Paris Fashion Week, so I understand it was an exceptionally busy period.
