Hotel Rivoli

No elevator, no ac, small balcony, small bathroom, and locked doors. We would have to turn in the keys every time we left the room.

Exceptional value for the money. Perfect location. Clean room. No AC but a fan is provided. Able to mange if you want a great location at a budget price. Would definitely stay again. The staff are also very kind.

Location is great and the views are stunning! Close to a metro stop and big nightlife just around the corner! Only cooling being a fan and the WiFi only worked in the bathroom

Great location Good for staying a few nights if you’re traveling without luggage. There are too many narrow and winding stairs, which makes it difficult to carry luggage. If it’s hot outside, the room can become quite hot as well because there is no air conditioning. However, the location is excellent and gives you a real Parisian experience. The view is also very nice. I would not recommend this property for senior travelers or anyone with mobility issues.

The location and the rooms view The lack of elevator and the deceiving surprise to hear we were on the 5th floor in spite of having asked for a lower room with a month and a half notice . Fortunately, on the second day of our stay we were placed on the second floor . Nevertheless, the lack of reliable communication from Booking or the hotel staff regards of my confirmation of a lower floor by mail was deceiving and unreliable.

Good location, clean bathroom

The location was great, close of everything. The room didn't have wifi, even though the hotel advertised free one. When I went to ask at the front desk. They just said, sorry, the Wifi didn't work for that room and the owner knew about it but didn't fix the issue. So, too bad!!! I need to work, so I need to go to the Starbucks at the corner to use their wifi. It would be more honest if they let customers know the issue for those particular rooms without Wifi. The room also had a problem with cold water.

On the positive side, the hotel’s location is absolutely exceptional, placing you just a short walk away from Notre Dame Cathedral and right in the heart of the action. This prime positioning makes sightseeing incredibly convenient and it is further complemented by a truly wonderful staff whose friendliness and welcoming attitude made every interaction a pleasure, despite the property's shortcomings. The stay was marred by significant frustrations, most notably the complete lack of functional wifi and the climb to the sixth floor due to the absence of an elevator. The experience was further dampened by the inconvenient policy of having to return your key at reception every time you leave the building, making the overall infrastructure feel outdated.

Location. It’s walk up . If you have big luggage and stay 6th floor it’s terrible.

Great location close to the Metro (1 block away), Room was small, but worked for a solo traveler. There is no Lift, so be prepared for some exercise. Front desk was very friendly and helpful.

Location is the best. Its simple but very clean and organized.

No AC, the room became a sauna when sun was blasting all day on Friday. The Corridor was cooler than the room. Even at night the walls radiated heat. Fan does absolutely nothing. The key policy (needs to be given away even when you go for coffee) and the guest policy (not allowed).
