Lafayette Hotel

Not to their fault, but the room got very hot during a huge heatwave in France and the fan was not enough. Again, not to their fault! Finding a hotel at this price range with AC in Paris is pretty hard.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My daughter was on crutches and they changed our room and allowed us to check in early! Everything was wonderful

There just wasn’t any heating and room itself was very cold at night. Not the hotel’s fault, but bring a blanket.

Checking in and out were easy. The room and bathroom we had was clean and just what we needed to rest for the night. The area wasn't that great and the noises of the street could be heard. It did not affect our stay very much though, we still enjoyed the nice room.

Cleaniness was not good

Very good! It's cheap but really great!! The location is amazing - we mostly went everywhere by foot but the metro station is literally 2 steps away. The room was clean and comfy - it was better than i expected based on the proce, and the staff was really helpful and nice. Loved the cat as well. I definetely recommend this hotel and i will definitely stay there for my next paris trip.

The hotel is situated very nicely close to the large train stations. The room was fine, as to be expected for the price. Also the cat living there is very cute. On the last day of our stay we found bedbugs in the room! We directly informed the service desk, however we were not taken seriously. I was told that this is for sure no bed bug, while I was presenting the captured animal (it was clearly a bed bug), further we also examined the bed sheets and found the stains, which was also ignored. I was not very politely told, that i am mistaken and that the facility has no bed bugs and never had. When i said, that there can always be a first time, i was told that this is no bed bug again. After this experience, i would not trust the facility to take the proper precautions against the parasites, based on their reaction to our very serious and based complaints (we did not want to get anything, we just wanted to inform, so the proper care could be taken). This interaction with the service personnel really left a negative impression

The location is good. Seems pretty safe. The room is small but clean. The toilet is clean and new. Everything was functioning. I think its great deal in terms of how much you pay and what you get in return. Not much. The main thing is that we fould someone elses sock in the wardrobe. It was hidden a bit so I understand that it was hard to see while cleaning, but after we played around with the wardrobe, moving stuff in and out, it fell out and it was a bit gross, but not a big deal, it happends. Its hard to keep your stuff orginized is such a small space and with only one small wardrobe, but its completely expected given the price.

the staff on duty when we check out 6am is very helpful the room very small, no elevator , you would here evey people who come up and down in stairs not sound proof room,

The location

Good location, close to Gare du Nord. Very thin walls, I could literally hear someone taking a shit in the other rooms.

- the friendly black cat who resides in the reception - the location - it was pretty warm in the room (late November) - daily room service - the smell from the pipes in the bathroom - the room is tight, feels kind of claustrophobic - not good soundproofing

There was no soundproofing.

The staff, no heating, no soundproof rooms(could hear others talking in their rooms), pillows were really flat.

Very kind staffs, very quiet room, walking distance to Gare su Nord Unfortunately this hotel has no elevator

Extremely friendly and helpful staff.:) local cafe around the corner, vegetable and fruit stand with a friendly owner, grocery store within 5 min walking distance and the metro station within 2 minutes. Everything was perfect!

The room was pretty hot. The window was shut when I arrived so it was a bit hot and took a while to cool down.
