We loved the friendliness of staff. We loved the standard of hotel. We loved the food! Both breakfast & dinner were exceptional. We loved our room (except for shower - see below) - having a suite with a separate room for bed was lovely & important for us to have the extra space. We loved having a coffee pod machine. We loved that if we needed anything extra like tea/coffee we could just ask. We didn’t like the shower being over a bath. At our age it’s a safety hazard getting in & out - walk in shower would’ve been very welcome. I notice in some of the venue’s photos some rooms had walk in showers. Perhaps specific questions could be asked when booking room if we need/want a walk-shower. The TV in bedroom didn’t work well. Although there was a TV in living room, when I booked I specifically chose a suite with TV also in bedroom as we enjoy watching TV when going to bed. Shockingly soft pillows. We noticed some were marked ‘soft’ & some ‘firm’ - there didn’t seem to be much difference between the 2. Would be good to offer soft & firm with a significant difference. Would've been good to provide some bottled water in fridge.

The head of house in the restaurant went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after following a misunderstanding at breakfast on our second morning - a masterclass in customer service, thank you Jet tub in our room could be a bit of a challenge to get into & out of for older people
