Sonesta Select Philadelphia Airport

Everything was great. Except the staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful. They gave our room away after I phoned three times to make sure they didn’t and was assured we would be fine. They did find us a room but check in took awhile. No one was super friendly on the phone. The room and hotel however was nice and clean

Newly renovated rooms and very spacious. Hotel lobby had a nice scenery. Only missing a pool!

It was not our cup of tea, however the staff was beyond amazing and allowed us to cancel the stay on the spot without hassle or penalty. The main issue was that the information states lounge and restaurant, but they do not serve alcohol. The lobby was simple and clean. I think if you don’t want a place to have a drink before heading for bed, and you don’t need any attractions nearby, it is convenient for access to the airport, but I rather be able to have a nightcap at the hotel without driving, so not a good option for me. The staff is really great though and I appreciate how they took care of things right away.

Very clean and updated. My only complaint is there was no complimentary anything- no coffee, water, breakfast. Everything was at an additional cost. I just feel you could stay somewhere nearby for a similar price where you get more included.

I checked in on a Thursday night, the lady at the front desk checked us in and didn't give us any information regarding breakfast, dining, etc. (I should have asked, but it was after midnight) on Saturday afternoon, we asked the front desk if we could have a room refresh (the sticker on the bathroom mirror indicated that we could have a room refresh and new towels upon request.) the lady at the front desk told us that they don’t do that since we checked in that day, she had assumed we checked in Saturday. I told her we checked in on Thursday and she then stated room refreshes were only done every 7 days. She seemed annoyed and that we were inconveniencing her. She asked one of the maids to bring us fresh towels and took our room number down. We left the hotel for the day around 3pm and came back well after 2am. They had not given new towels. The night shift that night was the most helpful and kind and got us towels right away. With how unhelpful and rude the day time staff were, I will be avoiding sonesta select.

We arrived at 3:45 knowing check in was at 4. There was some sort of issue where over 50 people were unable to check in until after check in time and some include us did not even get checked into our room until 4:40 when we have an event at 5:30 to drive to and be at which made the start of the trip very inconvenient and stressful. We also thought that the breakfast was a free breakfast situation and were disappointed to see it was not especially for being on the pricier side.

Great value & located near the airport!

When we arrived, the lobby was full of guests who had also requested early check-in. Staff took everyone’s names, then told us to wait another hour. The expected check-in time continued to change every 30 minutes with little communication. As a result, I had to do my makeup, apply lotion, and change clothes in the hotel lobby, along with several other guests. What made the experience worse was the staff’s attitude. They were dismissive, rude, and showed very little empathy despite the obvious frustration of so many waiting guests. The biggest issue came after the concert. We returned expecting to finally get our room, only to be told the hotel had been overbooked and they didn’t have one for us. After waiting all day and trusting we had accommodations, we had to drive 40 minutes out of our way to find a Marriott with availability. Delays and overbooking can happen, but poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessional customer service should not. If you’re staying here for a time-sensitive event, I recommend choosing another hotel. Oh, and they took our money anyway.....so that's the next phone call.

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel; we’d never stayed at a Sonesta before. For the price, relative to other similar hotels, it was modern spacious and clean. We would stay there again. Very convenient to the airport.

It was quiet clean and cool! There is not a lot around so had to uber for everything but updated room and friendly people.

At 4 once they said check in will start, the desk was bombarded with people. We all want to get into our room. People coming in at 4 were getting checked in faster than all of us waiting for hours. As I watched the manager hiding out on his cell phone not helping. I finally did not get checked into my room until about 4:40. Again I had to get to a concert at 5:30. Unfortunately I didn’t make it and didn’t get there till after 6 because of this delay. The next day when I spoke with a manager she said we don’t give courtesy for these things that just happen. Eventually she offered coffee, which is already free in the room. I was able to eventually get my parking comp. The room bathroom was dirty, the wet paint in the hall stinking up the rooms, and the incredibly loud ac unit. Stay away! It has potential but the service is awful.

Do not stay at this hotel. We were told over the phone that early check in was available. When we arrived there were 50 other people in the lobby who were told the same thing. The staff made all of us wait, were rude when questioned, and overall showed a large degree of mismanagement. In addition, they are understaffed leading to huge delays of the simplest services. There are other options locally to choose from. One of the worst experiences at a hotel me and my family jave ever had.

The common areas look really nice but when we got into our room the bathroom looked like a hospital shower room. It was just a shower head and the whole bathroom floor was a drain with old tiling. Definitely not worth the money. Very disappointed for the amount we spent on a room!

Not having free coffee in the lobby is annoying. I don't want to buy your Starbucks stuff. I can live without breakfast, but coffee and tea should be complimentary.

I booked this hotel for one night (& to hold my car) before my west coast flight. The room was clean & super quiet. They run airport shuttles on the 30 minutes, and you can reserve a spot on check-in. I paid to store my car, and it was intact when I came back. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
