Then we went to the restaurant/bar area for some quick bites. it was 4:00pm and our wedding reception was at 6:00. We sat and waited for at least 20 minutes until I finally asked the hostess if someone could help us again and she said there was only 1 server/bartender and it would take some time. After that ,a very nice gentlemen who was not a server came over to help us and took our order. I assume he was a manager of some sort. I did not understand why on a Friday afternoon when everyone is checking in for the weekends . Weddings all over, why was there no help? It seemed more like a scheduling problem than a staffing issue. The valet , bell hop were all outstanding and accommodating. The room was ok felt a little tired but was clean. The rugs in the restaurant area looked soiled or maybe it was a shadowing in the rug I really could not tell so I did not think that was a good thing. We had breakfast in the morning and had an outstanding server , her name was Quinn. So nice and a wonderful warm welcoming smile and demeanor.

This is an old, dilapidated property with strange odors throughout. Food service trays were left sitting in the hallway on the 7th floor, and the rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The biggest issue, however, was the incredibly slow response from Guest Services and the front desk. I requested some over-the-counter medicine, which they said they would deliver. It took three hours. I was grateful we have Uber deliveries. A request to have my room cleaned required multiple phone calls, and it still took 40 minutes for someone to arrive. At times, I could not reach the front desk at all. Overall, this property falls well short of the Ritz-Carlton standard. I will not be returning.

Not exactly what I expect from the Ritz. Rooms are in serious need of a make over. Stayed here for two nights and then stayed at The Franklin at Rittenhouse. (Highly Recommend this place over The Ritz)

Overall the hotel is nice but we got back to our room after being out and there was a maintenance guy in our room so we had to leave. We hadn’t called for maintenance and they didn’t give us a heads up. We waited at the restaurant for 15 min but no one ever came to our table. Great location.

This hotel is as centrally located as possible in the heart of Philadelphia, within walking distance of most of Center City's major attractions and adjacent to the central nexus of the region's public transportation infrastructure. The building was originally an early 20th century office complex, with a neo-classical style that enhances the ambiance of the property. My room was decently sized, with a nice bathroom. This is the only hotel in my experience where staff would knock on my door in the early evening offering assistance. The front desk was very helpful, and in what is now a somewhat old-fashioned touch, one could read the complimentary newspapers, which I appreciated.

Convenient location and friendly staff make this a worthwhile visit.

I would have liked a refrigerator. Holiday in provides them at half the cost

    Very good

Loved the central location. We also appreciated the early check in especially during the 4th of July holiday weekend. Pop up champagne drinks & pop corn treats were enjoyed. For the price we paid for our room - the service was mediocre! First, the concierge staff was not well informed about the 4th of July holiday weekend festivities. And they were NOT friendly at all. You would think that they would expect guests to be asking lots of questions about the 4th. They looked put out if you did ask them. Second, the waitstaff at the lobby was quite slow. One even forgot our order! Third, a couple of times we used the 1st floor restroom - it appeared unkept. Quite nasty actually. This experience @ Ritz Philly definitely did not make any good impressions & not as expected for a RC.
