The view from the balcony My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The receptionist who welcomed me was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of making me feel welcome, her attitude was unfriendly and dismissive, which created a very poor first impression. The overall service was below expectations. Staff did not seem interested in providing good customer service or making guests feel comfortable. In addition, the hotel itself feels outdated. Much of the furniture, equipment, and facilities are old and worn, making the property feel neglected rather than well maintained. Unfortunately, because of the poor customer service and the outdated condition of the hotel, I would not recommend staying here.

My family and I had a lovely stay at the Belair Beach Hotel

Stayed 6 days at Belair. The staff helps u to feel right at home. The hotel itself is a little more dated than what I prefer, however the cleanliness and staff made it worth staying. They have a very small market stocked with every last minute item u can think of. The vendors introduced at the orientation were helpful on providing optios to consider for your stay within the hotel and out in the city. The Gingerbread Cafe is pretty laid back and very good for that night-time libation if needed. Menu and food provided "something to eat" when u just don't feel like going out. The beach is beautiful! Nice and quiet for those times to just sit back and chillax. It seems to attract guests 50+ who would rather not have all the noise and partying. It's a bit far from the night action if that's what you're thinking of doing. Always ask before hand if there is a cost for the classes that are offered. More transparency is needed in that area.

Staff was exceptionally attentive. Need any? Got it almost immediately. Location was beautiful. Clean pool, great beach, smooth surf, great food and drink! The little store had whatever we needed and they even delivered to our room. Sweet place to stay!

The location of this resort was awesome! It is feet from the beach and is very close to Philipsburg. It is an old resort, but the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We will be going back again next year! Nothing, it was great

The staff is amazing. The beach is great and the pool is good as well. I liked the bus transfer to Philipsburg. Unfortunately it was only once a week. Great view Also the wine and cheese afternoon was nice. Glenda is great Units are a little bit dated, advertising at the desk should be for the right months and staff need to tell you when they are charging you for fitness classes, ie. when you are in the pool and then you get ask if you like to join by the instructor and then get charged. You should have a couple fitness classes for free as an incentive.

The beach was top notch, favorite spot on the island! The facilities were a little outdated but it was exactly what we were looking for. If you’re searching for a upscale, fancy hotel, this isn’t it. The rooms were plenty spacious for our group of 4 and the view from the balcony was wonderful.

A rental car is needed to get around. The hotel is not as conveniently located as I thought it would be. The rooms aren’t updated and I think the hotel overall is overdue for a material renovation.

Beach and neighbors are good. No soliciting. View was great, watching cruise ships coming and going from nearby Phillipsburg. Essentials are available for basic services such as food and market. Some of the staff are very pleasant some are not.

Did not eat breakfast, but the location is beautiful The restaurant food, and a bigger pool

Perfect location. Every room faces the ocean. Rooms are quiet and clean. When you arrive you pick your beach chairs and they mark them with your room number so you never have to struggle to find a place on the beach. The beach is never crowded and the ocean is right there to go floating in. The little restaurant, The Gingerbread Cafe, is nice. Good food, good drink selection and the people are wonderful. The mini market has pretty much whatever you need and if it doesn't, Neelu can find it for you! The people here are what makes this place the best on the island. If you are looking for a party area, this isn't it, but if you are coming for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you! Everything was perfect! I can't say one bad thing about this resort!

Quiet location with a beautiful, uncrowded beach and plenty of available beach chairs. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the ocean, and the kitchen had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Friendly and accommodating staff made the experience even better. Overall, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beach.

The beach view from our room was beautiful. It was quite old and in need of updating

I recently had an unexpected and very emotional experience while on a cruise that had to be cut short due to a medical emergency involving my sister. She became seriously ill and required emergency surgery in St. Maarten. I was not able to stay with her in the hospital and had to find accommodations quickly. I cannot express enough gratitude to the staff at Belair Beach Hotel, especially Khatija and Catherine, for their incredible kindness, compassion, and support during those difficult two days. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel cared for and safe during what was one of the most stressful times of my life. Their understanding and warmth went far beyond what I ever expected from a hotel staff. They were not just professional—they were human, and their empathy made all the difference. Because of them, Belair Beach Hotel will always have a special place in my heart. I will absolutely return if I ever come back to St. Maarten, this time under happier circumstances. Thank you again, Khatija and Catherine, for everything you did for me. You truly went above and beyond. Warmest regards,
