The shower was missing a fixture. The fans could have been stronger, it was very hot!
-
The bed was not very comfortable and made all sorts of noise every time we moved. Was cooler than outside but didn’t get super cool. No fridge.
-
Good place for the price Nothing

The shower had no pressure and it was too noisy for the traffic from the road.
-
Because of its age, the plumbing was a bit quirky.

This hotel is like stepping into a museum! You will want to spend time exploring the artwork and historical memorabilia on each floor and wonder at the antique furniture. If you get lucky with a room facing the Arno River, you will enjoy fantastic views. The staff will store your luggage if you arrive too early for check-in. Breakfast is served in a beautiful, stylish hall on the first floor and you will have a great selection of pastries, coffees, and cold cuts, cheeses, and hardboiled egg. You can walk to this hotel from the train station in about 20 minutes and to the complex around the tower of Pisa in 15 minutes. Right next to the hotel there are numerous restaurants, and a little grocery store. The front desk staff fetched us a cab in only 8 minutes to take us to the airport for right under 20 euros in 2026. People gather at night along the river, right in front of the hotel and play loud music, which is fun to watch, until you wish to sleep. While the antique furnishing of the room is charming, we found the thoroughly stained chaise in our room really gross. Cracked and moving tiles on the floor made it feel like being in an abandoned building or train station. It's hard to take a shower without the shower curtain sticking to your body in the small shower stall. Water from the faucet barely dripped until you turned the handles a few times. The toilet seat was discolored, the walls were cracked, some outlets were non-functional and the wrapping of some electric wires to lamps were worn away. This place would be a phenomenal experience if the rooms were renovated and exuded the richness of its old glory.

Water pressure in both shower and toilet was very low. Parking place was difficult to access.

Noise fr the street can be heard until early morning.

We asked for and got a room with two separate beds. The problem was, our room (201) was right in the front of the hotel, overlooking the river, and until 4 AM many kids sat along the river wall talking loudly. One of us got no sleep until they left. Do not take this room or others with river exposure.

Beautiful but somewhat “rundown” in a classy way. I loved the dining room and the location couldn’t be better.
-
Location is good nice view Noisey hotel bar outside and kids on the street till 3 am. Windows were useless and an abundance of mosquitos in the room
-
Had an old shabby chic charm It was quite echoey at night

The water was not hot for bath/shower.

Nothing My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was very dirty, with visible grime and lack of proper cleaning in multiple areas, making it uncomfortable to stay there. On top of that, basic essentials like towels and slippers were missing, which is unacceptable for any hotel. The environment felt cold and unwelcoming, adding to the overall negative experience. To make matters worse, there were insects in the room, which made the situation even more unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I definitely would not stay here again.

Location. The river. The sheets were clean and crisp. Very, very run down and dirty. Holes in the ceiling, lukewarm water. In serious need of a very deep cleaning.

Very beautiful hotel, especially interesting for those who are interested in art and history. Infrastructure in the room is a bit outdated but clean and the unique atmosphere of the place fully compensates that. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was not a problem to leave a luggage for a few hours after check-out. Location is excellent for sightseeing, just in the heart of the old town.

Light was inadequate to write at the desk for the next day activity and the TV remote did not work

We stayed at the hotel the night of the Festival of Lights and the hotel lobby and all of the stairwells were lined with candles and it was just magical! There were also two rooftop viewing areas for the fireworks. It was a perfect location! Service was great and they have a lovely outdoor terrace with so many plants that you feel like you’re in a secret garden. We have stayed at this hotel twice and the rooms and bathrooms varied greatly in size. The first time we stayed there we booked well in advance and had a huge room and bathroom and the second time we stayed, we booked the day before and had a small room, so book as far in advance as possible.

Interesting old hotel in good location. We found all the staff very pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed aperitifs on the attractive terrace with flowering shrubs and views over Pisan rooftops.

Very old facility. No isolated doors (both sound and light passing through). The room furnishin is also very old and hospital-like (not warm-hotel-like).
