Welcoming staff was welcoming. Maintenance staff was great. The bartender and restaurant waitstaff were also very friendly and the drinks were delicious and I did enjoy the grilled cheese. The hotel itself is very clean and aesthetically appealing. The bed was super comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. I did not like that the phone was across the room. There is also no place to really hang or place your clothes. The rooms are very small, and the bathroom door did not stay open. I had difficulty understanding how to access the restaurant...breakfast is on one level, lunch on another, Lobby, RB, Mezz...and when I requested assistance, the woman at the front desk was less than helpful. All that said, for the price, Joinery is a nice hotel and in a great location, near everything.

The fitness center was well-stocked, well-lit, and very clean. The breakfast was tasty and convenient. The location was good. Even though we were in a corner room overlooking two busy streets, it was quiet and we slept well (the comfy beds helped in that regard). The only thing we didn't like was the teeny tiny room. And I mean TEENY! This is the smallest hotel room we've ever stayed in. I think my knee caught the corner of the bed five times during our stay. There was no closet, no place to put a second suitcase, and even the stand for one suitcase was in the walkway from the bed to the bathroom. There was a small, dorm-size fridge which we appreciated. We also appreciated the room-darkening drapes. Would I stay here again? Well, if I didn't have much luggage or other stuff that would take up any space in the room, yes, definitely. The staff made all the difference, the facility was clean, and the location was great.

I stayed 3 nights and they never came to clean the room or put new towels. Also there was a lot of noise like machinery or motor Ac all night. Could not sleep. It was the worst hotel stay of my life.

Nice property / good location / helpful staff

Conveniently located by a starbucks, a target, a burlington, a brueggers bagels and a five below. Also other places all within 8 minutes. Walked to PNC park since it's a mile away.

Room was very small, lack of space, and also pretty hot even after we adjusted the AC temperature. We found ourselves sweating inside the room when we’re just sitting there and not moving around. Housekeeping always come early in the morning and if they see the do not disturb sign, they will pass your room and will not come back later to clean your room. For 2 days, housekeeping didn’t show up, so the trash bag in our room was filled. We saw the housekeeping manager and spoke to her about needing our room to be cleaned. She got frustrated at us and said the housekeeper already left, which I believe is not how I should be treated.

The hotel was beautiful and classy. The rooms were very nice and clean. My one complaint was the lighting - it was SO dark. There are no overhead lights in the room, just two very dim lamps. But not only that, they have some sort of tint on the windows AND the mirror so you don't even get natural light. I was trying to do my makeup in the mirror and it looked like I was trying to do it at 8pm with no lights on, but it was noon. This is such a minor complaint but it made it difficult to get ready. Other than that one thing the rest of our stay was lovely and comfortable.

Toook over 2 hours to check in due to a late arrival of linens we were told. They had one lady running the check in and she had a line all the way to the door. She did the best she could, but received no assistance from anyone to help with the checkin process. Trash still outside of room when we were let in and no one ever picked it up. Room was small and not even close to worth the price. Paid over $500 for one night and the hotel was charging $3 for a bottled water in the room.

So so rooms. Not as nice as other Curio hotels. Disappointing in that regard.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Hotel location was very convenient. Check in is at 4 and not a moment before, it took a long time, several people waiting for their rooms to be ready, even after 4. Rooms were fine, paid for a king, definitely a queen bed.

Wonderful experience once I got to my room but that process took two hours because the staff couldn't find my reservation. After that was resolved, however, they were very kind and accommodating.

We travelled into town for a reggae music festival and this hotel was the perfect location for us. Though the rooms are on the smallish size, we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Special shout out to the Front Desk❤️My husband woke up feeling ill on the morning of our check out. They gave him an additional 2 hours beyond check out time to sleep before our 2 hour drive home!! Amazing! The rooftop was fabulous to enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and to cap off our evenings with stunning views❤️

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The valet and front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was also one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous; I was up there a lot. I will definitely stay again.
