The hotel in Bavaro Punta Cana is a diamond in the rough. The hotel rooms on the first floor are very nice looking. I liked the daily breakfast and staff at the hotel. The hotel had a clean looking active pool. The hotel is near the resort tour meet up locations, shops and food and bars. The reception is at the end of the block making it for a quiet night. Two bottles of water is supplied daily by house keeping. My room had a mini refrigerator. Guests have access to cold water, coffee maker and microwave. If you are seeking an authentic hotel around the locals outside of the resorts Hotel & Casino Flamboyan is fine. I was able to stay five days during spring break at an affordable rate. In my opinion this hotel is better than the other hotels I have seen in Bavaro. This is my honest review without bias In contrast to the nice rooms listed on the pictures the upper floors 300’s and 400’s need remodeling, deep cleaning and upgrading. I was not expecting to get one of those rooms on the upper floors. I am not sure if booking assigned me one of those rooms or front desk. The first room had security issues with the door, the second room had a better door, but the room needed work. Please note construction across the street and in the building is going on during the day making it hard to rest during the day.

The price was okay and most of the staff are very nice, however most of them don't speak english. There is breakfast in the price which is okay, you have some choices. We were accomodated in the new building, which is approximately 50 meters away from the main one, which wasn't a problem but it was a different one than what we booked. There were lots of constructions and only a few rooms were ready for use. The room was not the cleanest, but some kleenex did the trick. There was no locker in the room, so we had to take our most important belongings with us all the time. It was good that we did, because 2 days before our stay ended, our bags were unlocked and some of our stuff (mostly clothes) were stolen from the room. The neighbourhood didn't feel the safest, there are a lot of opportunists around. Also there is a huge resort between the hotel and the beach, and it takes about 20-30 minutes to reach it on foot. All in all it could've been a 6 or 7 out of 10, but we never saw our stuff again. It looked like they didn't take it too seriously.

Nothing I had made a reservation for 4 rooms. During the day hotel contact me on whatsapp and ask if my reservations are still on point. I confirm my reservation and told them i am in Capital on my way to Flamboyan Hotrl. Upon arrival, the gentleman at the front desk told me that i can get only 3 rooms, and that i need to share a room with my other colleagues untill the nxt day when a room is available. They offer me another hotel opposite them, which i had to pay 40 Usd. But the hotel was really bad. I had no other choice to share one night with my colleague. Currently Flamboyan has a new building which my other colleagues was staying in there. They promised me that the nxt day i will get a room in the same building. When i reach the front desk. I heard that the new building is fully booked and i need to stay in room 207 which is in the old building. Flamboyan Hotel really messed up my vacation. Cause they split me totally from my group. If possible i would like my full reeinbursement back from them. Hope booking.com can do something for me. Yours, Vairon.

Bed was bad, room too noisy, noisy guests. The fridge was extremely noisy... a nightmare!! I would rather spend more for a better place. I won't recommend it.

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

I don't recommend this place, it seems it is close to the beach but you need to walk few kilometres around resorts to get to the public beach. Weird vibe, the hotel was almost fully empty but we got one specific room where doors did not close, we were told to just store our valuables in the locker and leave the door not locked (ridicilous and looked like scam). Eventually our room was changed 3 times, in each room there were cocroaches. Just do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The staff is sketchy, I don't speak spanish so it was hard to agree on anything.

The proximity to places to eat and night activities was great. It had hot water and cold air if needed I had to push down toilet flapper every time I used bathroom. Door would not locked as designed. Security could have been better. The Saturday morning of my stay while in bed, someone used a key to get my room. Once he opened the door and realized I was in the room he said excuse me and shut the door quickly before I could turn to see his face. On Monday morning, I checked my money and realized I was missing a lot of money. The money was in the safe. I reported the missing money to the manager and hotel immediately claimed no responsibility for the theft. I wasn't looking for responsibility, I just wanted to know who came in my room. The manager did her investigation but nothing was found. I did not report to the police because I was leaving early the next morning. Lesson learned for me is not to assume valuables are safe because they are in a room safe.

The staff was very friendly, The staff was very friendly, but it's full of cocroach I feel disgusting there to stay so I cannot enjoy the hotel The bed full of small hair, so I sleep in my clothes Breakfast is very pur better to go to the coffee shop and pay separately If you pay with local money ,they charge the currency from dollar to pedo in very low price like 40 pesos for 1 dollar in the same time 1 dollar outside from hotel is 62 peso So it's not nice doing like that for tourist , we are also people , we work hard to came to you country for vocation

Too little breakfast, one egg and a toast sandwich.. The lady who takes orders in a bad mood every morning..

  • Engine customer Feb 2025

Breakfast was authentic but with limited choice. The AC didn’t work although we did have hot water. The location might as well be a million miles from the beach. The hotel and area is run down. If you can walk into the resorts you’ll see a different world. Be careful before you book this accommodation if you’re a tourist as it’s unlikely what you’re looking for. The staff could be friendlier.
