Be Playa Hotel Boutique & Rooftop Bar - Adults Only

This was the 3rd time staying at Be Playa, the rooms are very comfortable and cozy, the roof bar is very cool, and the hotel staff are super friendly, love this place

Super comfy bed. Loved the bath. Great location for walking to lots of stuff. The toilet didn’t flush very well, the shower leaked and left the floors soaked and biggest complaint is that it was so noisy with a party on the roof every single night blasting music for hours.

The location was excellent was very far from the pier. The distance from the pier and the mall was amazing for walking and enjoy the atmosphere. bring walking shoes tho. It’s was nice however u can’t control the A/C its been control by the staff.. the shower leak outdoors … need extra towel to hold the water … u will not sleep because of the bar across the street they love to party.

Everything seems and is a little old (for instance, the tv only has cable tv).

The location was excellent and really easy to get everywhere and the staff were all lovely. Rooftop events were a suprise but good atmosphere. Paid for a master suite, but Jacuzzi didn't work, so little disappointed not being able to have or use that facility. Lots of small issues with holes in curtains, etc, that if here for only a day or 2 maybe wouldn't bother bit mkt for a week. Hammocks that are shown on balconies in pictures also not there (maybe time of year) Initial impressions really great but a lot small details/defects takes the shine off the overall experience

Location, a block away from the main tourist street and close proximity to the beach. Hip, cool decor of the hotel and rooms. Housing keeping was on top of things, always kept the room clean. The rooms are starting to show a little wear, bathroom mirrors are showing deterioration. Hotel room sound-proofing could have been better. You could hear the loud music from the busy club across the street and on two nights the hotel had music on the pool deck until midnight. Staff was nice, but had a casual indifference attitude. At the pool side bar, the few times I visited I always had to ask for a drink. The bartenders never pro-actively came around the table or inquired if I would like to order something. I never saw an on-site manager or person in charge on the premises. The website picture of the pool did not exactly match what we found.

After a very long day, the bed was clean and comfy.

Location Service, I reserve d a king bed and got a room with two beds the Recepcion didn’t seem to care at all

Power was out for about 1.5 hours, and the rooftop pool/dj/drinks were not open (it had been raining, though...understood).

I must be stay some days in the area because of the hurricane berly. I made the reservation like 2 pm and I come to the hotel like 5 pm. In the whole area was no electricity. Also not in the hotel. Some hotels had an electric generator but this hotel not. So they didn’t know about my reservation. And also without electricity I was not able to stay in this hotel. The lady at the front desk told me, to cancel I must write via booking. 1 hour later I wrote the hotel in booking a message. So for me no problem because this was not the fault. I left the area and to get internet connection and I called some hotels to ask if the had electricity. I found one and a booked it also here in booking. 3 days later the hotel answered me that a must speak with the costumer service of booking, because they are charged the money. I called them and the told me they will speak with the hotel. 1 day later I got an answer of the Costumer service of booking, that the hotel told them that they had electricity and all services worked normal and I have decided to go. After this I wrote an other message to the hotel but I never got an answer.

Construction on every floor, paint smell and construction noise at the rooms, breakfast is horrible, most days the kitchen is closed at morning and they can make only coffee, waiting time for omelet is about 40 minutes!

The included breakfast was excellent, I had a different item on the al la carte (choice of 3 for 3) on the menu each day and all were delicious. Proximity to 5th Ave and shops is great NOISE: On the friday/saturday nights the music on the rooftop was excessively loud + vibrating, I didn't care up to 11pm but it went on until 3am. NO PARKING: because the parking app did not work on my phone that I bought in the USA, I had to go out every 5 hours to pay street parking because the meters don't allow you to pay for more than 5 hours at a time and the worst part was the machines wouldnt take credit card or notes, so I had to literally walk around town buying items just so I could get a few coins at a time, because the stores never have enough coins. Thankfully a few times the lovely frontdesk staff did it for me on their phones so I could just pay them with notes but the app didn't always work for them either. If the ticketmasters just gave out tickets I probably would have just been happy to pay the ticket but they put a yellow boot on your tire here so i was stressed about forgetting to pay on time.

It’s a relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff, big room (oh that bath!) and great location. Events in the evening but quiet during the day. Bar staff made my stay, friendly faces all around :) It’s a little outdated, could do with some beauty upgrades, but it didn’t bother me at all, everything worked! Will come back!

the location was really good, near "quinta avenida" which was like the main street, where they have the best restaurants and the mall. Also the price was affordable. Unfortunately the Jaccuzzi and hot water were not working. Besides this, the breakfast was limited. We asked for two sandwiches and the waiter said there's only one per person. I've visited more than 15 countries and had never seen a limited breakfast when its supposed to be "included breakfast".

The location and architecture are good, the night receptionist was exceptional The hot water supply was inconsistent, and on one occasion, there was no water at all. The Jacuzzi, unfortunately, couldn't be utilized due to water issues and lack of cleanliness (sand on it). Tge bed is old not comfortable. The room had dust on the lighting, under bed and bed tables. The towels provided were thin and quite worn-out. The pool is not appealing for swimming, particules floating on it and the rooftop is quite empty the hole day. A rusty hanger ruined my shirt. Couldn’t get my breakfast last day at 8 a.m after 20minutes of waiting, not even a coffee. It was way bellow the comfortable and relaxing stay i was hoping for on the end of my Yucatan trip

The music playing on the rooftop lounge was loud and often playing loudly throughout the night. Room windows were thin and no insulation basically made it seem we were in the club while trying to sleep. The noise was hard to tolerate in the nights

Very good location Only cold water available. During the whole stay they have had problems with the boiler system… a shame due to the daily fare
