Had an amazing stay. The staff were very friendly and made sure we always had our drinks refilled. Alejandra was the best. Will definitely be back

The staff, food, and location are perfect. There was a silent disco one night which was super fun. There are tons of pool chairs and we never reserved early or paid for a Bali bed. Having an option of quiet or party pool was great. If you want a quieter stay request room 3 away from the party pool. This is a lively resort with many big groups, and high energy. I love the proximity to downtown playa. There is a ton to do and this is great for groups who might want different things. I have stayed here 3 times. Admittedly things seemed a little rougher this time, but it was still awesome and I would stay again. The beach js not great (rocky, not super pretty- even without sargassum). I don’t mind that but if you are a beach person this is probably not your resort. The mattresses and pillows have seen better days. The crowd can be a bit rough at times- one day people were using their own loud speakers at the pool and people were the drunkest I have ever seen at an all inclusive (in more than 20 stays at resorts). The staff did their best to manage it, but they have a no speaker policy, doesn’t seem enforced. Overall, not deal breakers, but it was a negative in our stay.

1 100% all inclusive ( meal and drink) I went to few all inclusive resorts in the past This hotel offers everything included and foods quality was very good. We ate almost all the restaurant except 2 Most is restaurants are NOT buffet which I love and 1 buffet restaurant was very good quality as well. I don’t drink at all however someone loved to drinks will be excellent deal 24/7 there is always something to eat and drink We really enjoyed this all inclusive service 2 swim up pool and jetted bath I love swim up room and jetted tub It is quieter side of the hotel feels more private 3 locations Hotel is center of Playa del Carmen. It’s easy to access to town and beach Also, close to ferry terminal to Cozumel 4 Spa facility ( extra fee) Has steam and dry sauna and jetted Pool 5 entertainment I enjoyed hotel entertainment for every nights Over all I will recommend this hotel 1 Hotel beach had so much seaweeds and did not removed it for when we checked inn Smell of old wet seaweeds was overwhelming and that was very distracting for 2 days until removed I understand this is seaweed season however not removing those for right away for 5 starts hotel is very disappointing 2 shower head was dirty Hotel staff were taking care of it when I addressed this issued 3 Bathroom sensors light is automatic only Can’t turn off until sensor is time up ( few minutes) It wakes me up every times my partner went to bathroom for middle of nights 4 Spa treatments We had body massage and facial Facial treatment techniques needs to be improved

Very clean and the food at all restaurants was great. Everything I taste with the food was delicious. Everything was great
-
Was good.
-
Many of the drinks seemed overly sweet and the alcohol watered down. The evening entertainment seemed more geared to an elderly audience.

The food quality could be improved

Vast and beach access. Liked the small adult pool. 24hr cafe Bed was too firm for me.

Amazing breakfast and staff! We were treated like royalty, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. TV didn't work the first night, but it was promptly replaced.

Entertainment, food, ambience were all excellent, especially breakfast buffet,, Pelicanos and La Casona. The pool is beautiful but it was too cool for us to use it. We like proximity to small shops. Mattresses need replacing. Air conditioning vents need reflectors, air blows in face while sleeping. Also advise new arrivals to book restaurants several days in advance.

We loved the restaurants at the resort. We loved the staff and how friendly and nice they were at all times. We loved how close everything was even outside the resort. We look forward to going back!! I didnr like that we had to leave too early and couldnt stay longer. My wife was extremely happy with the trip thanks to you!!

staff, cleanliness, breakfast & lunch buffets Mattress was very uncomfortable and broken down. In 2 of 3 restaurants, main course arrived before appetizers were finished.

The property had a nice location but very old Good location

The property itself was well maintained, clean and good facilities. Rooms were very comfortable, and well serviced. The follow up of every request we made was pretty impressive as well. The quality of the food was excellent. Lots of choices and availability at every restaurant. The entertainment team were incredibly hard working, always enthusiastic, welcoming and friendly. Pools were really nice. So many activities on offer, something for everyone. Evening entertainment pretty good quality! I’m sure it’s probably the top hotel if you want to be so close to town. I would happily return to the Hyatt brand. Our room faced onto the main pool. From midday onwards it got really really loud with head banging music and loud shouting over the microphones. Very obnoxious. The ‘quiet’ pool was fabulous, but small with very few pool lounges that were always occupied - we felt there could be a second quiet pool area. Restaurants around the resort generally lacked any sort of ambiance- with the exception of Pelicano’s down on the beachfront. Most of them were just large spaces filled with tables with the air conditioning cranked up too high. They felt more like canteens ! (see comment above - the food was great!) The only other grumble we have is the forced high pressure sales pitch which you are obliged to attend as you arrive. Reminds me of the good old timeshare days! Not an easy job, I appreciate , but not one ounce of sincerity - the idea is to get you to sign up to gave a further discussion with a real sales rep the following day, with various carrots dangled to entice you to say yes. Too bad. There must be a better way! The beach was very small, very crowded and there was a very unpleasant smell? I will not be returning to Playa del Carmen
