La Semilla is beautiful!! Our room on the third floor felt like we were staying in a tree house, it was so peaceful and really nice to come back to after hot days at the beach. We looked forward to breakfast every day. Loads of great restaurants and bars in the area (the Cuban bar - super fun!). The night manager was a tad unfriendly at times but that was a small thing nothing major.

Very boutique and cute style. Walking distance to beach . Clean Close to lots of noisy places. The music at the restaurant next door started at 6/7 AM beach nearby but small and busy Maybe too minimalist, no Tv or desk or couch

Great breakfast, very nice cook who provided a simple but tasty breakfast each morning. Nice grounds in the back away from the crazy tourist area. Close to everything. room over looking trees was nic. No pool, but we understand. Bathroom could be updated.

Parking could be tough. It worked out very well for us, but there are only a few spots. We didn't need to drive while in town. We had a rental car for the other parts of our trip.

The hotel’s garden and the balcony of our room were incredibly pleasant. Also, the location of the hotel was excellent. Apart from the gentleman who prepared the breakfast, it was hard to find anyone to talk to. We stayed for three nights, but our room was never cleaned, nor were we asked whether we wanted it to be cleaned. The reception was usually empty anyway, so we were not satisfied with the level of service. Our room was also on the third floor, and the hotel has no elevator. There was also no minibar (or fridge to keep water cold) or hair dryer in the room.

The staff and the property at Hotel La Semilla was warm, welcoming, and charming! Each person we interacted with was kind, helpful, and always had a smile. The jungle setting and the courtyard where breakfast was served was elegantly decorated with string lights and vintage bistro-style tables and chairs. One of the best parts of this experience was the two-course daily breakfast made by Valeria and served by Claudia! The fruit was so fresh and beautifully arranged on our plates each morning. There was yougurt with a varitey of seeds and granola, along with whole grain bread for toast, and delicious homemade jam. There was a cooked egg dish for our second course, incorporating specialities from the Yacatan and the fresh squeezed juices were amazing! The soft neutral colors of the rooms and wood features made them elegant and invited you to relax and unwind. Nothing, it was exactly as pictured and described! The gentleman who worked the front desk was kind and helpful working to get our room cleaned for an earlier check-in, as we arrived quite early in the morning.

The property is quiet and beautiful. The staff was amazing! We rented a car and there are 3 spots available. Sadly we only stayed one night but i would definitely boom here again Everything was great

This is an incredible property. The rooms are nestled in a leash garden setting with beautiful plants everywhere. The grounds are manicured constantly. The owner clearly loves her property. When we arrived, adrian gave us a tour. He spoke fluid English and was as nice and as helpful as anyone could possibly be. The restaurant is fantastic. The employees are super kind. At 5:30 in the morning an array of birds begin to fly from tree to tree. This is the best place to stay if you want to visit Chichen Itza. There are cenote close by. A taxi cost about five dollars. They have an array of spa services. When I return, I will definitely stay there. If you want romance, this is a great place to stay. If you love nature, this is a fantastic place to stay. Obviously, I loved it and my wife did too. Wake up super early and go to the ruins right when they open to beat the crowds and the heat. My wife and I own EatTravelGo.com based in LA Ca USA and we paid full price to stay there. It was a great value. I cannot think of anything I did not like about the property. We were there in May. While it was very hot. The gardens provided lots of shade which helped. There’s also a refreshing pool to swim in. The air conditioner in the room worked great.

Absolutely sensational! We honestly were in awe with how amazing this hotel is. It looks even better in person than in pictures and seems to be very freshly built. Everything was clean, you can’t hear anything from the street outside, it’s in prime location. THE STAR THOUGH IS THE BREAKFAST! It’s made to order and is delicious!!! We were very sad to leave and wished we could stay there for another day! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! NOTHING

The breakfast was good, chef was friendly also. The location was central to a lot of touristy things. We were wrongly charged by the hotel. We booked a king size room as per the descriptor but received a tiny queen size bedroom. They also charged us in person at the hotel and it was about 60 additional US dollars than what was listed on bookings for the king room. The initial front desk lady said she needed a manager to assist with making it right, but we had full day tours for the first two days of our trip. We offered to call them or email them but they insisted on an in person exchange. When we finally caught the manager, he was very rude and said he had been asking around the hotel for us (despite knowing we were out on tours). He started interrogating us about what we had been doing on the tours and why, mocking us when we told him we went to Cozumel for birdwatching. It seemed they were intentionally trying to embarrass us and act as though we were trying to skip out on payment even though they had our credit card info, cell number and full information. The interaction with them to sort out payment was painful and they were belittling us. They claimed there were additional sanitation taxes not accounted for in bookings that we had to pay which seemed pretty scammy to us. We had to discuss with them multiple times to get the rate we paid and it was still not the room we paid for. After this they became rude towards us, and then just ceased to acknowledge our existence. On top of this, the room was small and the bed was stiff and uncomfortable, while the pillows were very thin. The water pressure was not good and the toilet would barely flush, also the toilet seat doesn’t stay up so slams and hits you in the back if you try to use it. Shower drips and couldn’t make that stop either. The room was very noisy, no insulation against street noise and music, luckily we had ear plugs or it would have been impossible to sleep. The room also has no actual area to hang clothing, just a hanging stick from the ceiling which was not adequate for dresses or long items.
