It’s really in the center of everything. Was really easy to get there from the bus station. There isn’t anything my room specifically had air-conditioning.
-
Location: close to beach, restaurants, street vendors, stores/shops. Staff was great! Clean. Amenities, coffee!, kitchen, refrigeration, noise from bar was not intrusive.
-
The facility itself is pretty nice and simple. The rooftop is small but cozy and has a nice view. Not sure how frequent the cleaning was in the dorms/bathroom

I am a legally blind person and live with Tourette Syndrome—both conditions formally recognized as disabilities under Mexican law. I presented my official credencial de discapacidad, thereby placing the establishment on clear notice of my protected status. Despite this, I was subjected to overt and unjustifiable discrimination. Rather than receiving the reasonable accommodation to which I am entitled, I was summarily removed from the dormitory accommodation I had lawfully reserved and paid for, and was informed—without any meaningful dialogue or exploration of alternatives—that my only option was to incur the substantial additional expense of a private room. This course of action constitutes a flagrant violation of Articles 1, 4, 5, 9, and 26 of the Ley General para la Inclusión de las Personas con Discapacidad, as well as the broader principles enshrined in the Convención sobre los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad (ratified by Mexico). The decision was neither reasonable nor proportionate; it effectively punished me for manifesting symptoms of my disabilities while accommodating the unfounded expectations of other guests in a venue that explicitly markets itself as a lively, social “party hostel.” I was not offered any genuine attempt at reconciliation or adjustment—only displacement and an additional financial burden. The experience was not merely inconvenient; it was deeply humiliating, left me in tears in front of everyone and a stark reminder that, for some service providers, the legal and moral imperative to include and respect persons with disabilities remains little more than an afterthought. I am writing to bring to your attention a serious failure on the part of your staff to comply with applicable disability-accommodation laws and basic standards of hospitality. I am a legally blind person and live with Tourette Syndrome, both of which constitute disabilities under the Ley General para la Inclusión de las Personas con Discapacidad and the Convención sobre los Derechos de las Personas. Despite this, I was summarily removed from my booked dormitory accommodation because other guests complained that my search for prescribed medication (necessary to manage my Tourette Syndrome) was disturbing their sleep in advance of an early departure. Rather than address the complaints of the other guests or explore reasonable accommodations that would allow me to remain in the accommodation I had lawfully booked and paid for, your staff elected to eject me from the dormitory. The solution unilaterally imposed by your staff was that I should upgrade, at my own additional expense, to a private room. No effort was made to require or even suggest that the complaining guests—who apparently required absolute silence and privacy—bear the cost of relocating to a private room themselves, despite the fact that a private-room rate at your property way exceeds hotel rates. It is noteworthy that your establishment markets itself as a lively “party hostel.” Guests who demand hotel-level quiet and privacy in a shared dormitory at such a venue have, frankly, selected the wrong accommodation. It is not reasonable—or legally defensible—to resolve conflicting guest expectations by displacing and penalizing the disabled traveler while indulging the unrealistic demands of others. The staff members who made and enforced this decision demonstrated a complete absence of training in disability accommodation, a lack of empathy, and a failure to exercise even minimal discretion or fairness. Their actions exposed your business to significant liability which I am pursuing now.
