Reviews

Nice room with air conditioning and great lounge / bar downstairs.

I liked how clean the building was and the rooms were very clean! It was pretty warm in the room when we got there, but we could change the thermostat and it got cool super fast. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking, it was only valet parking we had no issues with it, but it was an additional $50 to keep the car overnight. Plus parking was pretty limited because some people that were getting there after us couldn’t get in because it was already packed.

The room was clean and roomy.
-
good location and clean. Staff are friendly
-
Everything was clean and lots of towels for showers
-
Down side is no parking, unless you pay for parking on street or valet $45 a night. The hotel is older and not as modern as most Marriott brands. Sink area was so small it was hard to get ready with hair & makeup.

very nice thank you

Beautiful hotel, staff were very easy to work with and exceptionally friendly, the ac in our room was PERFECT I hated that we had to pay Valet for a place we would be sleeping, the third elevator didn’t work l, and our room only had 2 lights in the main area!

The staff were very friendly. I miss the microwave in the room

The room was fine. The hotel is located closer to the convention center. Some members of staff did not appear to possess sufficient knowledge to resolve the issues faced by the occupant. Correction of the invoice was required, as certain particulars had been incorrectly entered by the staff during check-in. Despite reaching out on multiple occasions, the staff did not provide the necessary assistance to rectify this error. Furthermore, no response has been received from the Assistant General Manager, via e-mail regarding the requested correction. Additionally, a phishing attempt was received using the exact details provided at the time of booking, which leads me to believe that some of the booking information may have been compromised. There is also very slow response/no response from staff when enquiring details about the booking through messages.

Lovely staff clean room great property
-
Very clean room.
-
Breakfast service was not good. Looks like there was only one person working the whole restaurant
-
Somedays there was no housekeeping, so I had to hunt down towels. But overall, the hotel was fine.

Excellent stay.

Very good

Good ole Marriott offering a very Marriott-like experience. No frills, everything as it should be. The bar and breakfast downstairs was nice and not overpriced like many hotels. That said, you are in Portland - go out and eat! I was charged for parking erroneously and it has been quite a process to get the charges taken off of my bill. They removed the charges, but applied them to the wrong credit card, and blamed me for booking through a 3rd party for the mistake.

The location was near many fast food restaurants, bus stops and train stops. They charge a large amount of money for parking on site and it's valet only. We had to park off-site to afford to stay there. The breakfast and dinner offered is an additional charge and is also expensive. We had to go somewhere more affordable for our meals. The sofa bed was advertised as sleeping 2 but it was just a twin with one pillow and blanket. One of our kids had to sleep on the couch cushion on the floor with one of my pillows and blanket from the bed.

I wish that the bar had root beer
