Eastside Lodge

The water was hot, very hot. That said, the condition of the entire facility was poor. The room had fraying carpet, half the lights in bathroom were not working and two different types of bulbs, the shower stall was not finished, the shower pipe hole was not covered. They had a power strip screwed to the wall with almost every outlet filled. No screen on the window, bed was not comfortable and pillows were flat. Biggest red flag came at checkout when I saw new bedding stacked outside on the pavement next to a door. Overall a terrible choice on my part, oh and no pool.

there was an issue and I did not stay

Faucet was broken. No cold water. Shower was a mess, floor was ripped up. WiFi never worked, had to go downstairs to get WiFi info. Microwave kept shutting off. Desk chair was ripped up…only thing that really worked was the bed, which the maid service didn’t make.

Affordable and comfortable and convenient

Room was clean and area relatively quiet. Located not too far from the Convention Center, so if that is your area of focus when in Portland, it is a short walk away. Coffee shops and a few places to eat not too far away

When I checked in the door didn’t work I did not have a key for my room until eight hours after I was there and it was about 4:30 in the morning and they finally switched me room so I had a key for my door. It was horrible experience for a hotel. It was very dirty. I had to scrub pee and poop off the toilet and off the bathroom wall and off the sink. It was disgusting. I will never see there ever again and Expedia was horrible about refunding anything after what I went through and so was the hotel nobody refunded nothing or discounted anything after all the crap I went through don’t ever go to this place again.

It smelled like it had been sanitized… whichbis good. No bugs.

Proximity to the conference venue was good. The staff made it clear it was a hassle to help me, both when I checked in and when I requested a hairdryer for my room. There were noisy guests shouting and knocking on each other's doors each morning at 5am. My room did not appear to have had any kind of renovations for a long time and the carpet felt crusty and old.

Basic place to sleep. No frills, but surprisingly quiet considering that it’s an old motor lodge with a vibrant night life scene in the adjacent streets.

The room did not look anything like the pictures.

This motel is a staple in my travels. It's location is centralized to where I need to go. The property itself is very well maintained and for the price, you can't beat it! I tell everyone I know about this little hidden gem.

Walking distance from venues I like to go to, clean rooms, with a fridge and microwave. Great place for the price. The only bad part was no diet soda in the vending machine. No diet soda in the vending machine.

Walkable to the Convention Center

Great location, clean rooms and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Nice to have parking and A/C available too. Overall really good value and would definitely stay there again.

Decent value with parking included. Property has been renovated on the cheap and it shows. If you're picky, don't stay here.

Great price and location. The area has some places nearby to visit or a very short bus ride to Downtown.
