I love this hotel. It is beautiful and well run. The location is prime and the restaurant serves delicious food. This time, the lobby was confusing and overstuffed. It needs a “desk” sign. None of us recognized the non-traditional front desk. I walked around trying to figure out where to check in. Plus so much furniture it’s really hard to cross the lobby, especially when there is a line for the desk. Otherwise, a great hotel!

We loved this hotel! Clean rooms, comfortable beds and pup friendly! The staff were super helpful and friendly. The restaurant served a great breakfast and a delicious dinner. We’ll be back.

We were surprised by poor service at The Heathman. Housekeeping, in particular, was lacking. The first day our towels were refreshed, but the beds left unmade and the coffee supplies were not replenished. I called the front desk to specifically request housekeeping for the following day to make sure they knew we wanted our room attended to and that we needed more creamer. Despite the request, the following day housekeeping did not come at all and when I called to complain the front desk did not seem concerned at all. I called and asked that coffee supplies be brought up and it took three calls and reminders to receive. Other strange issues as well. The restaurant hours indicated they’re open until 10pm but they closed early most nights with no warning or apology. White wine was served room temperature and the barkeep was defensive when asked. While some of the staff were helpful and responsive, many seemed reluctant to help and unconcerned with our concerns. Overall, the Heathman seemed disorganized and poorly run and we will not stay there again.

The front desk situation at this hotel is pretty bad. There isn’t one. Just a weird lobby , and the people working have their backs to you so they don’t notice if you need something. One person in particular, who kind of looked like an angry Dua Lipa was very dismissive when I simply asked “is this the place to check in (after standing for 10 minutes) “yes, but it’s going to be awhile.” Was the response. This is too bad because the rooms were very nice. The rest of the staff was pretty good and the location is also decent. Just figure out that front desk situation and things would be much better.

First class operation! Staff is amazing

Everything was great. Nice to have good coffee and a restaurant open for breakfast downstairs. Hotel wouldn’t give itemized account for incidental charges and the daily $10 credit so not able to know the breakdown of what the final charges were.

Our stay at the Heathman was wonderful! It is a quaint and beautiful hotel with gorgeous common spaces and comfortable rooms. The staff was exceptional, going above and beyond to help us with a few things we needed while we were there, making sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. There is also a delightful chocolate shop right off of the lobby that we visited every day and the restaurant in the hotel is also delicious and well worth a try. It is also very easy to get around Portland using their convenient, well-networked, and inexpensive public transportation, making the trip even more fun and exciting. We would definitely return! N/A — everything was perfect.

We paid for parking garage in advance and was much cheaper than vallette service.

Location is great in downtown Portland, easy to walk anywhere Rooms were more utilitarian than expected, but clean
