The Benson Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton

It was an amazing stay, stayed there for 2 nights and everything was great! The only downside was there was not a bath tub which we didn’t realize before purchasing-that is our own fault though. Overnight valet was great and the staff was very nice and helpful! Enjoyed the stay

Everything about our stay was amazing. We had a fantastic experience at The Benson

The historic lobby is incredibly special. We enjoyed the activity on a Saturday night - relaxing and sipping on our drinks with our toy poodle. A group on a US Ghost tour came passed through the lobby as well as several brides and grooms. There is a new sports bar in the basement. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Had an issue in the downstairs speakeasy; some jerk started eating off my plate.

For the price, expected staff to be more attentive. Long waits every time for checkin, leaving bags, etc. no one at the counter. Rooms were okay, but we got one facing another building's wall - literally no view. Pillows were square and too thick. No idea how they expect anyone to sleep on those. Bathrooms were cramped, with a tiny sink hardly any space to keep toiletries. Cannot open door to tub easily as it is too close to the toilet and need to squeeze in. Building is really old. Fixtures are very dated but clean and well maintained. Can't complain there. Valet was expensive but very fast. Good ac.

If you like history and architecture, this hotel provides both. Simply gorgeous lobby; they really don’t make them like this anymore. Surrounded by great food and drink options. A bit of the downtown scene, and felt perfectly safe but note this if you’re more looking for a part of town with a suburb-y vibe. Would definitely go back.

Amazing wonderful stay for a date night

Beautiful historic hotel that has been tastefully updated in downtown. We had great room service, ate good food and enjoyed the staircase museum. The TV didn’t have ability for us to connect or login to our streaming apps.

The beauty of the lobby, knowing how old the building was and just admiring the columns, the flooring, the ceilings and the chandeliers. The whole picture was very nostalgic. Nothing!

Beautiful historic hotel, so glad it has been preserved. Loved the photos in the "history" staircase. Enjoyed experiencing the grandier of this old building. Staff was very accommodating.

Beautiful hotel. Bathrooms real small. Homeless issue. Not your fault but we will not stay in that area again.
