The Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown

As for the location itself, it's right in downtown but a part that is never too noisy. It's easily accessible by taxi, Uber, light rail, and private car. Many restaurants, shops, clubs, and bars are within walking distance and the overall area is extremely safe. Portland will always be a second home of mine and I thank the Royal Sonesta Downtown Portland Management Team for making this visit such a delight.

Staff were excellent as soon as I walked in to have my bags held until early check in. Explained everything that was included I. The reservation. Staff also held my water bottle at the front desk when I didn’t have enough time to run back up to the room.

The room was clean and the staff was very nice. I could smell some odors due to the fact the hotel is old but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The location was good.

The Manager was lacking in skills AVOID THIS HOTEL HORROR EXPERIENCE.

This was the perfect hotel for our trip to Portland. The location is great…walkable to almost everything Portland has to offer. The rooms are uniquely decorated and spacious. Austin from the front desk helped us throughout our stay and he was a highlight of our trip!

This hotel is magic, like something out of a Wes Anderson movie. My daughter and I loved the decor and vibe, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. A great value for a truly luxurious and quirky hotel

Amazing place amazing breakfast

Honestly a rough stay. We first got to our room and noticed that our bedding & towels had a couple of stains. Then our AC doesn’t work at all so we’re put into a new room. In this new room, we notice that there is a peanut on the ground, indicating a lack of cleanliness & attention to detail. I think overall for the price it is fine, but it isn’t the true royal sonesta experience compared to other cities. Would not stay here again and would seek other options instead.

Space -very large for the price Parking but it’s more Portland’s fault than the hotels

Love love love the decor Nothing

Breakfast was OK, maybe I would have liked more sausage and less bacon, but it's just me:) A bit upgrade to the facility, the old is in the air, stuffy room

BTW, I saw homeless people walking into the hotel and nobody take care until the person walked away by herself

Very good

Check in was a breeze, the staff's level of hospitality was epic. Major kudos to the parking valet.
